  President Trump has previously responded to that same question numerous times stating that he thought there would be a period on increaded gas prices at the pump which would come down when the Iran conflict was settled. I believe he has gotten tired of answering the same question over and over again and said what he said in order to emphasize that could not concern himself with that question because the Iran conflict was not settled and that until settled, he could do nothng more to placate those who refuse to accept his previous answers. Apparently some people refuse to accept common sense and just want to stir the pot with questions that been previously answered. 

He was honest. He said he doesn't care.
