Voter ID

I didn't tell you or anyone else that.

Getting a valid ID involves more than filling out a form. Are you really so stupid as to not know that? Try it yourself. Just fill out a form and hand it to a government official. Nothing else. No other documents, no fees. See how far that gets you.

Idiot.

I got a new drivers license when I moved to Wisconsin 6 years ago, and got a new drivers license when I moved back to Indiana 4 years ago.  I posted what is required to get the "real ID" within the past week, but Keven apparently can't read.  I'll admit this this does support Kevin's argument that Democrats are stupid and lazy.

Once again Liberals argue that since it takes a tiny amount of effort to identify oneself, identication should be outlawed.

The problem with the real ID is that the Indiana BMV tells you that you need two of these.  A lot of people arent going to have two of these.  If you aren't a homeowner or credit card holder you are going to have a damn hard time producing these.

  • Proof of IN residency. You’ll need 2 documents to establish residency. These can include:
    • Utility or credit card bills from within the last 60 days.
    • A Indiana voter registration card.
    • First-class mail from a state or federal court agency from within the last 60 days.

Are these the only acceptable documents because the above statement says "these can include", this looks like an incomplete list.

Because one should not need identification to exercise a fundamental right.

Good, then I can vote 50x next election.  Just a bunch of phony names.

It's very sad, but not surprising, that you think the right to vote is bullshit.

Don't say stupid things. You know damn well how voter registration and ballot signature verification works.

According to their website, you can also use a bank statement, a pre-printed pay stub, or a Medicaid or Medicare benefit statement. I can see how someone who doesn't have a residence might not be able to conform to those requirements--also, a person might not have a utility bill or a bank statement in their name, if someone else is supporting them. You also need to provide a Social Security card.

If you're homeless, you need an affidavit from an organization willing to vouch for you and state that they are willing to accept mail for you. If you live in a vehicle, you still need the two residency docs, plus, someone has to sign an affidavit vouching for you, PLUS, you have to submit proof that you've paid Indiana income taxes the prior two years.

I can see how there might be quite a few people who wouldn't be able to meet these requirements. I can also see how there might be many more for whom meeting these requirements might be very difficult.

It should be easy, not difficult--for everybody.

These posts show it is not that difficult to get an id.  All it takes is some effort, but liberals don't believe in effort, everything should be handed out.
