When is the US in an economic recession?

To be clear, the economy declined two straight quarters, which is the accepted measure of a recession.  Sleepy and friends have now moved the goal post, and they are telling us that a recession isn't really a recession.  They've have decided to change the standard, knowing that most Liberal voters are stupid and easily confused.  All of this is coming to you from the same people who argue that a bee is a fish.

One of their arguments is that we can't add 350,000 new jobs, and still be in a recession.  The "new jobs" stat is bullshit.  Here are the true numbers of how many Americans are working from month to month, and in the true sense we did not add 350,000 jobs.  https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t01.htm

In fact, we lost 315,000 net seasonally adjusted jobs.  The economy is certainly in a recession, and a bee is not a fish

The goal of the Endangered Species Act is to protect and promote the recovery of species that are in danger of becoming extinct. Adding bees to the list gives them protections like prohibiting the import, export, or taking of the species.

The definition of a recession is 2 consecutive decreases in GDP.  

That's probably how liberals define it, but when it's a liberal in charge it gets a little more nuanced than 'conservative' decreases.  Of course the official numbers aren't out so we don't know if it's a recession or not.  And you're right.  It's generally described as two consecutive (not conservative) quarters of decline in GDP.  That shows a contracting economy.  Hopefully it's short and mild and a soft landing. 

I'm sure everyone here is a lot more concerned about America's declining real wages that have been lowering our standard of living every month for over a year, right?  That's a little more meaningful to people.  Thanks Democrats!  Let's hope the medicine for Joe Biden's inflation doesn't kill the patient.
