Kevin, please don't take this as me disparaging you being a teacher but if you are SO SMART, how come you taught (teach today) 3rd grade and rent instead of owning a home? (belly-aching about 9% rent increases) Shouldn't someone as smart as you be easily retired right now with a home paid off? And why do you hate Corporate America so much? A little wee-bit jealous?
You may have to do a little self reflecting on your life my friend. Seems to me you came up a bit short.....
I tend to think that is why you are ALWAYS so angry. But you and MrP do have a lot in common though.

The best answer to your question is "None of your fucking business, and up yours for your stupid-ass speculations and by the way, fuck you," but I'll dignify your question with a straight answer. I sold my home in Las Vegas in 2008, at a very nice profit. I used the proceeds to help out some friends, and I paid for all three nieces' and nephews' college educations. I've lived in several different locations in the last decade-plus, because I wanted to experience a lot of different places. And yes, I rent rather than own, because I don't want to be tied to one place any more.
I consciously chose to teach 3rd grade because my research and experience both show that those are extremely impactful years for kids. You get them going at that point, it's much easier for them down the road; conversely, if their education falters then, they might be set back for years. And yes, the money hasn't been great, especially considering the amount of work and the level of expertise involved. And make no mistake--teaching is hard. It doesn't pay nearly enough--so why do we do it? Because we love it, and we can see the good we're doing.
I never said I hate corporate America. Your words, not mine. I do, however, think that the business sector has far too much influence on our government, especially since we have one major political party that basically exists to serve the will of its corporate masters.
I've had and am having a good life. You're not equipped or informed to judge me. And by the way, fuck you.
Testy, testy. I struck a nerve.
I will give you credit though for answering the question. If you've done all that above, I can definitely respect a lot of that.
But in all honesty, why are you always so angry then?

I don't know. Why do you beat your wife?

I don't but you are definitely always angry and everybody on this forum can attest to that.

Rain Man said the Wheel of Fortune was "definitely" going to stop on $20.
"Uh-oh!"
7.9% in Feb, another 40 year high. The puppetmasters are blaming Putin even though the invasion wasn't until the end of Feb.

Kevin didn't prepare for life, and now he's pissed at those who did. He hates those who can afford to visit Vegas and spend the dollars for a fancy hotel. He hates the companies who build hotels that he can't afford. He hates those who've become successful through hard work.
I pity the children who have suffered under the misguided, lying liberal tutelege of Lewis. Hopefully, some if not all of these children will get a proper, sane education based upon reality and not the lies of deranged "teachers" like Lewis.
