Who will be nominated for 2024?

They have. Look it up, Beatrice. Look to those eras when the D's controlled both houses of Congress, and / or when the President was a D. Or look to the instances when those roles are reversed, for that matter. I'd concede that the R's may have been more directly responsible for it in more recent years..in their effort to curtail the Congress from spending us into oblivion. In those instances where they were apparently more responsible, it was

usually about deficit reduction and reduced spending. That is the core reason for most shutdowns even though multiple additional and separate issues are debated....but that's a basic infallible difference between the two parties..again, generally speaking. It takes two to tango in this shutdown musical, Delbert. So if you really want to adhere to real truths instead of calling folks a liar, the fact is both parties have and will continue to contribute to the incidence of shutdowns; it's inherent differences in the ideological approach to spending as a base cause ( not each and every time, but often). Though, R's are somewhat more fond of spending tax dollars on things that explode / make noise / fly faster and further, etc. I'll admit to that.

And, since you called me a liar..you can kith my azimuth...and subsequently plant the accusation deep in your sigmoid flexure. After those actions take place we're even, you pot-stirrer.

Have a nice day, though.

Since mister picture is suffering from CFI (cranial fecal impaction), I doubt that he will be able to decipher the instructions you gave him concerning what he can kiss and where he can put the accusation he made. Remember Charles, you are not dealing with the sharpest knife in the drawer when you have discourse with him...Or, as my Father used to say "he is thicker in the head than a hog in the ass".....

I'd be more willing to consider the Republican efforts to shut down the government as noble efforts to curtail "spending us into oblivion" if they hadn't historically been quite willing to do just that. They're perfectly happy, as you point out, to spend gobs and gobs of taxpayer dough on things that make pretty fireworks and go boom. What they consider a waste is SOOOOOCIALISM, like feeding schoolchildren lunches.

It does come down to ideology, though. Republicans think that government programs designed to improve people's lives are inherently wasteful. Democrats think that government programs that don't benefit the people are inherently wasteful. How can you reconcile these two opposite viewpoints? You can't, any more than you can reconcile good and evil.

You are so wrong on all the moronic points you tried to make here. One thing we can all agree upon - you, and everyone who thinks like you are what is wrong with America.

That's your opinion, and therefore worthless.

It is not just an "opinion" - it is the truth.

Only an idiot thinks his opinion is DA TROOT.

Sorry, to 🌧️ on everyone's parade but it will be a Biden vs.Trump rematch.  If Republicans don't give Trump the nomination, he will run as an independent and Biden will cakewalk to his reelection.

The only wrinkles I see are possible health problems for Trump or Biden and Trump being in prison.  More than likely Trump will have been indicted by then but not put on trial yet.

And yes, if Trump is the Republican nominee every conservative here at LVA will debase themselves and vote for Trump again.

Trump might still be thinking of the Presidency as his get out of jail free card. By 2024, the indictments will be flying thick and fast.

That was exactly what Lindsey Graham said after first denouncing Trump after the riot and then saying we need Donald Trump.  "Mccarthy doesn't think we need Donald Trump but we need Donald Trump".  Mccarthy then flew down to Mara Lago and made up to Trump.  Trump could have destroyed the Republican party.  That is why secretly the GOP wishes Trump would just evaporate into thin air.

Nope. you're still lying.

Honest people offer proof of their claims. Liars say things like "google it." Or, as you did, "look it up."

If you're not embarrassed you're not paying attention.
