I won't try to fathom the reasons why you're a conservative. I'm a student of history and know the terrible harm and suffering conservative policies have caused for over 100 years, and no, that isn't hyperbole. So no rational person could vote conservative based on perceived benefit to the people. Usually, it's some overriding justification, like this is the party of God or pro-life or pro-AMURRICA or mah Daddy done voted Repubblekin and so will ah.
So while I would never support, for example, the Republican party core principle of "Fuck all nonwhite people," even though I'm white and wouldn't be directly affected by it, I understand that many other folks, you and your gang included, think differently. I don't support policies that hurt people. You do. That's the difference between me and you.
