To further clarify--we had two people present statistics, which contradicted one another, and you implied that they had equal credibility or equal lack thereof. That was a false equivalence, as the two sources differed greatly in veracity and reliability.
No matter what you or I may think of them both, Mister Picture's arguments, and the sources he uses, are FAR more coherent and logical than Tom's. Thus, when both of them assert something to be true, and provide statistics to back up their arguments, I'm much more inclined to believe Mister Picture. And before you say that's because his politics agree with mine, I assure you, that's not the case. Mister Picture is much more inclined to report the facts (and to understand them) than Tom is.
It's sort of like saying that CNN said one thing and Fox News said another---or for that matter, Trump said one thing and Biden the opposite---and throwing up your hands and saying that each side's arguments have equal weight and validity. They don't.
And Candy---I wish a discussion about the WHO wasn't political. But Trump has made listening or not listening to health authorities a political football.
Kevin, it had nothing to do with coherence or who was right or wrong. It was that one contained data on "shootings"; the other contained a long list of crimes but not "shootings" was not one of those cited. I think the base argument concerned the number of shootings of a given time or area or something.
But, time to put this one to rest.
BTW, I thought Trump's disparagement and dismissal of WHO a mistake from the get-go, so we agree on that.
