2014***ObamaCare***2014

Democrats aren't able to promote changes with the new law because they are still waging war with people who insist the previous system was better and want to go back.
But gosh wouldn't it be nice if they at least tried or articulated what they want to change about the law. How many times have Republicans attempted to repeal it knowing they had no chance of success? Don't you think our guys ought to try at least once to fix it?

More than 3 decades went by with no administration making any significant changes to healthcare. Why? Because its not as simple as you would make it sound. Were you watching the news during the year the bill was crafted?

Yes, I very intently watched as Obama opened up the negotiations after winning a huge electoral victory that left Democrats in control of everything by taking single payer off the table and appointing friend of the Insurance Industry Max Baucus to put the plan together. It just went down hill from there as Obama spent a year on the courtship of Olympia Snow, and when she finally rejected him he took the public option off the table. Finally, he just said hell we will just pass a federalized version of Romneycare. Point being from the get go because of the choices Obama made it was clear he was never interested in single payer or even a robust public option.

The access and discrimination policy would have been solved by single payer. I'd suggest to you the access policy still has not been solved and it in fact it has been made worse by disguising the problem with some cheap lipstick.

PS - I'm not callous to your situation. The exact opposite. I hope things work out for you and the law can be changed to alleviate whatever shortfalls you are experiencing
Yes, I know and appreciate that thank you.

According to Gallup, lots of them.

This really bears repeating.

Last fall, 18% of adults were uninsured. Now it's down to 12.9%, according to Gallup's latest work.

Incredible!

EIGHT MILLION!!!!

I feel sorry for any of those 8 million that develop a chronic illness or suffer a catastrophic injury.

I do too. Because having a chronic illness or suffering a catastrophic injury sucks.

Fortunately, they'll have quality health insurance that'll cushion the financial blow, as it does for you and your family.

LOL more like pulls the rug out from under you. I went to the GP Monday she wanted to give me four referrals

1. Dermatologist
2. Podiatrist
3. Eye Surgeon
4. Oncologist

They started working on trying to find an eye surgeon and dermatologist first they have yet (as of Thursday 5:30 pm) to find any that will accept Obamacare. What a cushion.
Not knowing where in Indiana malibber lives or what specific plan he's on makes it tough to directly challenge his claims that he can't find doctors.

But it is true that Hoosiers on Anthem who live within 100 miles of Indianapolis only get hundreds of Anthem-accepting oncologists to choose from.

Wish there were more.
Guess I am not the only one that needs an eye surgeon.

Cool. On that plan I'm seeing these oncologists near Corydon that take Anthem BCBS plans:

5 in New Albany (17 miles away)
2 in Jeffersonville (21 miles away)
2 in Jasper (46 miles away)

And dozens more within 100 miles. I bet one of them will be able to help him, now that he has health insurance.
You have to narrow the search to my plan if your searching generically your getting results for their group plans which have much larger provider networks.
