6th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

Here is my pick.

With Cleveland's out-of-nowhere trade of Trent Richardson to the Indy Colts, the line is moving faster than Roscoe headed to the front door to greet the doggy treats delivery person. Minnesota opened as a 3-point favorite and the action as been on the Vikes all week. Today especially after the Richardson trade was announced. Minnesota is now favored by 6 1/2 so I need to get my pick in before the spread balloons to 7 or 7 1/2.

Minnesota prevails at home by at least a touchdown this week. Vikes minus 6 1/2.

Roscoe, what do you have.

Damnit....running late this week. Frankie shut the PC down, and I couldn't get in to submit my picks!

This week, I am taking the San Diego Chargers +3 over the Tennessee Titans!

Weenie results after week #3

This weeks summary: One bad weenie, and one half good weenie

Roscoe's Charger's pick, looked like a solid winner, until that last Tennessee drive, and giving the Titans the win by 3 points, but since the Chargers were getting +3 points, this game ended up being a tie


BlackJack's Vikings pick was a loser straight up, as the Richardson-less Browns opened a can of whoop ass , winning a game that they had no business winning


So the Standings look like this:


1st place BlackJack with a record of 1 win and 2 losses

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 0 wins, 2 losses, and one tie

I figured, I would get this out of the way now, while I have puppy access to the internet!

This week I am going with the Baltimore Ravens minus 3 points over the Buffalo Bills!

The Ravens had a rough week #1 against the Denver Broncos, but since then are 2-0 with the defense not allowing a single touchdown to be scored on them in two straight games!! That is impressive

The Bills looked good early, but struggled last week, and I think the Ravens Defense will be a little too much for rook E-J Manuel.

This should be an easy win for me.

Presenting the first over/under prediction of the 2013 Weenie season.

I like the minus 42 1/2 bones in the Indianapolis at Jacksonville encounter. Jacksonville has the worst offense in the NFL. The Colts are a little dinged up and Ahmad Bradshaw, who had a break-out game last week, has been declared out. Plus the forecast calls for thunderstorms and some wind.

With a home date opposite of the Seattle Seahawks next week, look for the Colts to get out to a modest lead and be contempt to nurse the clock and get out of Florida healthy and ready to take on a tougher opponent on October 6.

Go with minus 42 1/2 bones.

I was a good weenie today. I'm getting a ribeye bone to gnaw on tonight. Woof!

I think BlackJack's pick was supposed to be the UNDER 42.5 on the Colts/Jags game, but he took the minus instead! LOL It was close, but the total stayed under 42.5, and B-J Scores the win!


Roscoe's Raven's pick, was a straight loser, as the Ravens were upset this weekend, giving Roscoe another loss!

OK...its time to stop messing around. I am winless so far this season, I think that's enough "giving brother B-J a head start" business, and its time to kick in into winning gear.

This week I am going with the New Orleans Saints minus 1 point over the Chicago Bears.

Saints defense is strong this year, and the offense is just 100% clicking right now, Saints are winners of four in a row, while the Bears have lost three straight. I am shocked that the line is only one point!

Saints win this game by at least 10....you heard it here first.

Its ticket cashing time!

Can't believe I said minus 42 1/2 last week. What a weenie brain fart. Trying to be clever with my bones analogy, but y'all know I what meant.

I have a guaranteed winner again this week. I am taking the St. Louis Rams minus 11 1/2 points against the woeful Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville is just plain bad. The Jags are 0-4 with losses by margins of 26, 28 and 34 points on their "resume."

The Rams are 2-3 after losing three straight, but to quality teams. Jeff Fisher is too good of a coach to let this team get off track. Bet St. Louis big this weekend!

Thinking a parlay bet with both weenie picks equals jackpot!
