6th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

OK, time for my real weenie pick of the week.

It may seem odd to take a 2-6 team as my lock. And the Pittsburgh Steelers no longer have a Steel Curtain defense. More like a paper defense. Parchment paper. Nevertheless, I see them bouncing back at home against a mediocre Buffalo Counterfeit Bills team on Sunday by more than 3 points.

Go Steelers and cover the 3 points!

Good luck, Roscoe. Good luck to anyone parlaying our picks this week.
I don't feel good about either Weenie Pick.

I used to be a big Ram fan until Georgia Frontiere drove them into the ground in Los Angeles and moved them to St. Louis. The Rams have been snake bit. Just witness the Monday night football game almost two weeks ago. They came within a yard or so of winning and were not able to punch it into the endzone.

The Rams will break your heart.

As for the Bills, they are kind of like Carolina. You don't know when they are going to play a good game. They are dangerous and could very well cover.
Did you see that Roscoe? Roulette Man doesn't like your pick. Now let me go find that bone I hid.
The Weenies bounce back roaring ferociously like a couple of pit bulls! The Rams, a 9 1/2-point dog, win by 30. And the Steelers polish off the Bills. The TD by Buffalo on last play of game made it look a little closer than it really was, a 13-point decision, nonetheless. Pittsburgh easily covers the spread of 3.

Hope y'all bet a parlay on our picks this week.

Good weekend.

Good Boys, Good Boys.

Weenie results after week #10

This weeks summary: Two good weenies!!

Blackjack's Steelers pick was an easy winner, covering the 3 point spread with no problems

Roscoe's Ram's pick was the ultimate upset winner of the week, as the Rams beat the cheese out of the colts, and the 10 point spread was just icing on the cake!

So the Standings look like this:

1st place BlackJack with a record of 4 wins and 6 losses

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 3 wins, 6 losses, and 1 tie

Good luck next week puppies!

Both weenies are back on track. And look for this one to keep the momentum going.

I am taking the Bengals to bounce back from head-scratching losses in November. Plus they will be looking to avenge a loss at Cleveland from earlier in the year. Cincinnati is too good of a team to keep pussyfooting around each week. Let's go with Cincinnati minus-6 points over Cleveland.

Good luck, Roscoe and everyone!
Time to keep this weenie win streak going!

This week I spotted an easy money game. I am taking the San Diego Chargers minus 1.5 points over the Miami Dolphins!

The Dolphins looked really bad last week losing against the winless Jaguars, giving Jacksonville their first win of the season. It was pretty obvious that the pieced together offensive line was struggling and Tannehill did not have much chance with the passing game.

The Chargers have a pretty good pass defense, they hung tough with the high powered Broncos offense last week, and should fair well against this Dolphins team this week.

This is easy money folks! Get your money in, before the line starts to move.

Chargers by 9-10 points EASY!

Good luck to all of those making these weenie wagers this weekend. May the power of the pups be with you!

Weenie results after week #11

This weeks summary: One good weenie, and one bad weenie!!

Blackjack's Bengals pick was a sure fire winner, covering the 6 point spread with no problems

Roscoe's Chargers pick was a flop as the Bolts get their asses handed to them by the lowly Dolphins! What a joke!

So the Standings look like this:

1st place BlackJack with a record of 5 wins and 6 losses

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 3 wins, 7 losses, and 1 tie

Good luck next week puppies!

going for my third straight win, I am going to declare my pick on Monday, a new weenie dog record for early prognostication.

I am taking the Indianapolis Colts plus 2 1/2 points against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Yeah, Arizona has won three straight and have upped their record to 6-4, but those victories were against struggling teams, Atlanta, Houston and Jacksonville. Really the closest thing to an impressive win for the Red Birds all year was a home victory over Carolina.

Indianapolis is a better team. The Colts win this game outright. The plus 2 1/2 points is icing on the cake.

Good luck, Roscoe!
