Yep you too can teach your nine year old daughter to shoot a fully auto Uzi. Just don't forget about that nasty recoil.

DOLAN SPRINGS, Ariz. – A 9-year-old girl accidentally killed an Arizona shooting instructor as he was showing her how to use an automatic Uzi, authorities said.

Charles Vacca, 39, of Lake Havasu City, died Monday shortly after being airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Mohave County sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.

Vacca was standing next to the girl at the Last Stop outdoor shooting range in White Hills when she pulled the trigger and the recoil sent the gun over her head, investigators said.

I'm not real sure who to feel sorry for. I can see teaching young people how to handle and respect firearms. BUT(!!!!) what IDIOT parents put an Uzi in the hands of a 9 year old girl???? Are you really that fucking stupid????

Now, this is something this child will have the memory of this happening all her life. How much therapy will she have to go to convince her this wasn't her fault?

Now for the instructor. I do feel sorry for him dying. His family is going to have one hell of a time recovering from this. But come on..... Why in the world did he agree to le this little kid have such a powerful weapon??? He had to know the kind of recoil the Uzi had. Did he really think she could handle it??? I guess it was a case of either parents shoving money at someone to let a little brat get their way so they'll shut up or a greedy persons love of money getting in the way of common sense.

Lawyers are going to have a field day with this one.

I feel sorry for everyone involved. Once again children suffer because of the actions of ignorant, dumb adults. I mean lets get serious, why on God's green earth would you put a fully auto weapon in a nine year olds hands. To make matters worse this is supposedly an experienced instructor.

The instructor has already paid the ultimate price for his stupidity.

The parents will be paying the price for years to come for their stupidity.

The little girl will being paying the price through no fault of her own.

I do feel sorry for everyone affected by this dumb ass move.

Not quite experienced enough.....

Any one who has ever fired a fully automatic weapon KNOWS that the muzzle WILL rise when fired in full auto. That is why you teach ADULTS to be aware of it. Teaching children to fire a semi automatic weapon is ok, but full auto??????

What a brilliant idea - should we start teaching kindergarten kids to shoot semi automatic weapons, but wait for a few years before handing them automatic sub-machine guns?

Well jr, I fired a .22 when I was a boy scout, when I was 13 or so. (at summer camp) I don't endorse teaching 9 year olds how to fire a weapon, least of all an Uzi. A .22, then maybe as they are all semi-automatic.

I also heard the instructor stood to her left instead of behind her where he should have stood. I'm not anti-guns, but a 9 year old has no business shooting an Uzi.
