American Ebola patient flew a Frontier Airlines flight only two days ago

Would I want to sit next to a human with Ebola...Nope
Luckily for andrew5499, Dr. Tom Frieden, Director for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) addressed just this question today [15 October 2014] in a telephone news conference.

A reporter inquired: " . . . is it true that a person runs absolutely no risk of contracting Ebola on public transportation, such as a bus?”

And Dr. Frieden replied: "“I think there are two different parts of that equation. The first is, if you’re a member of the traveling public and are healthy, should you be worried that you might have gotten it by sitting next to someone? And the answer is no.
Second, if you are sick and you may have Ebola, should you get on a bus? And the answer to that is also no. You might become ill, you might have a problem that exposes someone around you.”

So, . . . apparently it is not possible to catch Ebola on public transportation. But it is possible to give someone Ebola on public transportation.

Ahh, . . . Americans behold The Government At Work.

DonDiego trusts that andrew5499 is comforted by this explanation and will resume using public transportation.

PJ would be very happy to snuggle up on a flight next to one who just tested positive for Ebola. There is no reason to panic, PJ tells us, and apparently there is no reason to stop these folks from flying. Boiler disagrees.

This isn't Aids. It's Ebola.

Yep - you can read all about it at the site where all panic-attacked conspiracy theorists get their information....Breitbart.com.
Run for your lives - viruses can mutate

Of course, this same reasoning would mean immediate quarantine for everyone stricken with any kind of virus anywhere. Magic Johnson shouldn't fly because his HIV might mutate and become airborne. Pamela Anderson cant go into a movie theater because her Hep-C might mutate and become airborne. Andy Dick cant leave the house because his 20 different STD's might mutate and become airborne (well - actually I'd be cool with that one). Sound the alarm bells and call FOX News!

Conspiracy theorists? What are you talking about, what conspiaracy?

"Ebola was started..."

Now, that is funny.

I never said Ebola victims should sit in the middle seat on a Delta flight from Liberia. But strawmen are easy to knock down aren't they?

Ebola is not spread like the common cold.....that statement is contrary to the Perdue Scientist you falsely cite who warns us otherwise....and your specific warnings of a million people possibly getting infected in the US.

Facts are important in manners like this one. That's why we should get our information from doctors instead of people who fan irresponsible, uninformed, panic-stricken fairy tales like you have done all over this board.

I put it in bold so you can see....^^^^^

ANd since you obviously didn't read the link I posted from Boilerman's Purdue scientist, here is his conclusion:

HANNITY: We were first told that the only way somebody could get this is through direct contact with bodily fluids. They were trying to reassure people that were on the plane with Thomas Duncan. Then they backtracked and then they said three feet. Now you're telling us they may be wrong on all accounts.

SANDERS: I don't have any direct evidence that that is what is occurring now. That's -- I mean, that's an important message. We don't know that. But we do know...

HANNITY: Yes.

SANDERS: We do know that it can happen in terms of the biology. That's important. And it could become -- you know, through mutations, there's a possibility for it to change in such a way that that occurs more readily.

Boilerman claiming to rely on science and taking the word of an actual scientist. Now that's funny.
Once again, PJ, I did not warn against a million American's dying of Ebola, but instead asked a question. Here is my entire post that you refer to.

"If there is a 1/1000 chance that bringing these people to American will kill 1,000,000 people, should we do it?"

I'm now curious to hear why PJ won't answer this question.

HOLY-MOLY ! ! !

It turns out that Nurse Vinson who had been attending the Ebola patient, contracted Ebola, and then flew to Cleveland and back had notified the Center for Disease Control [CDC] several times before taking the flight that she had a low-grade fever and asked if she should, in fact, fly. The CDC representative decided that since her 99.5-degree temperature did not meet the "fever threshold of 100.4-degrees" she could fly.

“Those who have exposures to Ebola, should not have traveled on a commercial airline,” said Dr. Frieden.

DUH !

Hmm, . . .
DonDiego thinks the problem here is that there just isn't enough Government. Yeah, . . . that's it. The CDC needs a bigger budget and the Government clearly needs to be expanded to handle situations such as this, . . . pr'bly need an entirely new Department of Threshold Temperature Determination [DTTD]. Yeah, . . . that's the ticket.
Prof Saunders in this attached article discusses one strain of Ebola that has been shown to be passed through the air into humans, and another strain which has been shown to be passed through the air to pigs. I'm not a biologist, but I trust that different stains of a disease happen because of a mutation.

He further points out that CDC scientists are telling us (I assume at the instruction of Obama and friends) that Ebola can't mutate, but they are discussing privately the possibility of mutation.

Here's the article. https://www.jconline.com/story/news/2014/10/07/purdue-researcher-ebola-virus-spread-air/16873245/

The CDC is showing that it is another inept govt agency. Remember friedan's last job was regulating restaurant menus in NYC.

The person who allowed the nurse to fly should be fired. But like all the recent cases of govt incompetence nobody will lose their job
