..And she's down for the count(R.Rice vid)

NFL contracts are not guaranteed & he has probably spent a good chunk of what he has earned.

At some point a team desperate for a running back will claim he has been rehabbed, he will say he is very sorry, etc and he will be back.
Agreed.

He will be back

"Radioactivity" has a short half life with the media and with Americans. I believe that he will be back next year.

His football days are probably over. He is too radioactive for any team to touch even though he is a good back.

Case in point- without this video, he would have been able to lie his way out of this. I just wonder how many other times that these "athletes" have gotten off because there was no video. Face it , these "athletes" lie all the time and their employers look the other way as long as these "athletes" produce on the field. After all, the bottom line is all that matters.

NFL already knew about the video why do you think they suddenly just toughened their rules against domestic violence? Typical corporate arrogance thinking they could sweep it under the rug. Maybe Goodell ought to be fired.
Chris Brown taught him everything he knows. They should tie his ass to a pole and let a shitload of women do what ever they want to him.
And now, not surprisingly, the lady is taking his side, blaming the media. What have we here?
- Stockholm syndrome (victim develops attachment to abuser).
- Nicole Brown Simpson syndrome (staying with celebrity/rich guy, represses the abuse).
- Weakens to garden variety abuser behavior (he whispers sweet nothings/apologies, convinces her she is at least partly to blame).
- Can't be the victim who stands by her social/media/sports pariah of a man.
- Ashamed she is tolerating the abuse, so it isn't real, someone else's fault.

Damn!
If she concludes that his earning ability is gone, and she learns that he has little net worth, she will divorce him. I believe, however, that Rice still has earning potential, and this will largely blow over. Rice will be running the ball next season.

If Rice comes back the NFL will be people be more or less outraged than when Vick came back to the league?
Less.
