Any info on brain cancer?

The specialist and another Dr. agree on the first diagnosis. So they will plan the radiation and chemo.
My mom flew out on Sat. I realized I forgot to mention she lives in Oregon and we are in Philly.

Thank you once again for your kind words, prayers and thoughts.
So sorry to hear about your sister. Even though I don't post a lot, I read just about every thread and feel like everyone on this board is part family. I will definitely add your sister to my prayers.

Keep the faith and let us know whenever there is news - we care.
Pray, pray, pray. I have a friend who had a brain tumor. Surgery was performed. They weren't able to get all the tumor. She had chemo. Recently the tumor started growing again. They did surgery again, chemo & radiation. So far so good.

I had lung cancer almost 4 years ago. One doctor told me I had one year. I was depressed for about a day & I realized this doctor isn't God. Who did he think he was? Pay no attention to someone who gives you a time limit. I had chemo & radiation. I am cancer free. Pray, pray, pray.
I will add my thoughts, good wishes, and prayers to those before me as your sister faces this crisis. I will also pray for you and your entire family as you rally around her in support and love.

I had two close friends who unfortunately died of brain cancer, and pretty much around the time that their doctors gave them. Miracles do happen, however, and medical science progresses everyday so there is hope. Stay strong and always remember to love, for your sister's sake as well as your own.

Things are not going so well. Although my sister is home (in Oregon), she has had a few seizures and can only speak a few words. Luckily she does understand everything.
She starts chemo tomorrow then radiation will follow.
How scary! I hope not, but this seems to be progressing rapidly. Hopefully the Chemo and radiation help.
Absolutely get a second opinion and look into proton radiation. My 26 year old nephew had an inoperable brain tumor that grew during chemo. After proton therapy he is almost 2 years out and cancer free. Do not ever give up hope. Sending prayers.
Also , proton is much different than traditional radiation
