any of you gong to casinos other than las vegas?

Atlantic City
Taj Mahal

We go to the two Indian casinos that are within an hour's drive of Dallas. Bad odds and no playable VP, but it is still a quick gambling fix in-between Vegas trips. I've been as lucky there as I have been in Vegas for the past two years (nada) although sometimes we come home with the same amount of money we left with. We usually only take a few hundred bucks to blow, and only stay a few hours. We do not get good offers from these two casinos, other than the occasional buffet, $5 FSP or midweek room. Even though our vegas trips have decreased from 2 - 4 each year down to one trip every eight to 12 months, we still get good offers from Station and M, along with the odd offer from Harrah's, Silverton and Golden Nugget.
Will visit Wild Horse Pass in Phoenix next weekend, but it is in conjunction with a meeting. I was there last year at this time and hit absolutely nothing in three days.
Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun in CT (2 1/2 hour drive). Discounted Room rates are $79 to $120 at Foxwoods/ MGM, but $200 up at Mohegan. I win more (all is relative...)at Foxwoods and enjoy shows and pools at MGM. Mohegan has better food and is a nicer-looking casino IMHO -- but nothing compares to Las Vegas!
Last year DonDiego found excellent blackjack conditions in Charlestown, West Virginia.

DonDiego's travel plans include visits to several Casino-destinations for the remainder of 2012:
__Las Vegas - get some NFL bets down before the season starts
__Blackhawk/Central City, Colorado - just a day-trip tourist, unless he finds a good game
__Oregon Indian joints - amusement with family; expects no good games or machines
__West Virginia panhandle - DonDiego understands there's good blackjack in them thar' hills
__Western Pennsylvania - DonDiego understands there's good blackjack 'round Pittsburgh
__N'Orleans - pr'bly no serious gambling, unless he finds a good game; Harrah's sucks
__Mississippi Gulf Coast - lookin' fer good games

There are three Indian casinos within 20-30 minutes of our house in southern Arizona. We visit them a couple of times a month - sometimes just to gamble and sometimes to take advantage of their restaurant meal deals. Two of them have hotels, but we never spend the night. Just can't bring myself to pay for a room at a casino anymore.

When traveling, we might stop and check out a casino, but it's never a destination for us.

Atlantic City about every two months (junket flight)
Harrahs Cherokee once a month (drive)
3 different Indian Casinos. Rama in Orillia, Ontario, Blue Heron in Port Perry, Ontario and Seneca in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Blue Heron is about an hour away from home, Rama about
an hour and a half, and Seneca about an hour and a half. We also have OLG which is Government controlled: Fallsview, Niagara Falls, Ontario, and a few race tracks with slots only.
My favourite is Seneca, N.Y. We receive free rooms and really good free slot play & food comps.

Every fall we are in Arizona either Tucson or Phoenix and visit the Indian Casinos a few times as well as golf. However, I do leave hubby in Arizona every year and head to Vegas for 3 or 4 nights on my own.

Closest casinos that have any worthwhile VP are in Tunica and thats 3 1/2 hours away...about the same as flying to LV, and I do that for free. I did visit IP Biloxi a couple of weeks ago, because they made me an offer I couldn't refuse (and I hadn't been in Biloxi since the 70's). But LV 5-6 times a year takes care of my urges.
Go to Caeser's Windsor two or three times per month. Always a free room
and free show tickets. Seeing Big & Rich on the 31st. Also they always offer some kind of travel discounts
based on your play.
