Anyone find it harder to get free drinks while playing slots/vp?

Just wondering, last few trips out (on the strip), found it increasingly harder to "get the free drinks" as it seemed, at least to me, there were fewer CW's. Anyone else had this observation, and if so, were you able to remedy the situation? Thanks.
I agree there seems to be less ctws. The trend that is encouraged is for you to buy your drinks from the bar ect.. I refuse to pay for my drinks when I am spending money gambling. This is why we keep a bottle or two up in our room.
Casinos have cut staff, unfortunately, wherever they can. So yes, there are fewer cocktail waitresses, and those that remain have larger areas to cover.
Harrahs is introducing a new system where you can order drinks from your slot/VP machine using a touch screen. It is fully operational now at Rincon and works wonderfully well and fast. This increases productivity, because CWs dont have to walk around taking orders. I think youll see this system expand quickly. once again Harrahs leads the way. it will mean better service with fewer CWs.

Hey MoneyLa, do you pay for drinks or are they free with a tip that way?
At Harrah's Rincon as well as any other Indian casino in Calif., you have to pay for your drinks. I've always told them, if it isn't allowed to comp drinks in CA., why can't they just charge $1 a drink to players. They never seem to come up with an acceptable answer.

They have that system in one of their Tunica casinos as well. Problem is when ordering mixed drinks, there is no choice of brand. You can order vodka/cranberry, but no way to specify Stoli or Absolut or whatever

Were you sporting the Hawaiian shirt and fanny pack look? I think that's a red flag and they avoid you!

This last trip, I had the best cocktail service I have ever had actually. At Excalibur I was playing close to one of the bars and the CW had to walk by me often and I tipped well so I had no problem getting drinks. When we checked out ARIA I had a shoulder strap Mai Tai and had a waitress approach me about once every 5 minutes it seemed. Of course that was probably because I already had a drink with no bottom to it. Had I been thirsty I probably never would have seen a CW. Its funny how that works out.
when I tip well , I never have any trouble getting another drink ffffast.
