Are you a big tipper?

As long as the service is good--attentive, drinks replenished, etc,--we usually tip 18-20%. We don't quibble if its a few cents over. Higher end meals are no different. Usually the server is very good and deserves the standard tip.

We do tip less at a buffet, again depending if the server checks on us and removes plates fairlt promptly

I can say that we have never "stiffed" any server, but have left 10-15%.

Ditto here.
Binion's blackjack dealer to an obnoxious Canadian:

What's the difference between an Canadian and a canoe? Canoes tip.
We tip between 15 and 20% more if exceptional. Always tip on any meals comped. The wait person works for a living and are not paid minimum wage.
Cocktail people always $1.00 every drink.
Sat next to a lady in NY NY a few years back and asked me why my drinks were coming faster then hers. I asked if she was tipping the person waiting on us. Her reply NO! That's their job. Told her that's why shes not getting her drinks in a "timely" manner.

A bartender at the resort we stay in Florida told me the same joke.
He said the French Canadians are the cheapest.

I typically tip between 15 to 20% (most of my relatives have been in the waitress field so I have to tip decently)
I made a MAJOR mistake last week at a local casino buffet.
The meal was comped and I didn't leave more than $3.
Shame.
If I can't afford to tip, I stay home. In Vegas, I tip everyone except Sheldon Adelson.
