The better we know Tim Tebow...

I am sure that after Tebow has another productive season that you same bashers will be mouthing the same bull. So sit on your couches, scream at your widescreen and swill your beer while he makes liars out of all of you doubters.

"An unnamed Lions defender shared this assessment of Tebow with Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports: “Can you believe 15? Come on – that’s embarrassing. I mean, it’s a joke. We knew all week that if we brought any kind of defensive pressure, he couldn’t do anything. In the second half it got boring out there. We were like, ‘Come on – that’s your quarterback? Seriously?’”

Defensive end Cliff Avril was a bit more restrained. “As long as he felt our pressure, he was gonna make crazy decisions.”

And defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, referring to a controversial Friday headline from NFL.com that couched the Lions-Broncos game as a battle of good vs. evil, put it, “Evil prevails.”

Did you know the Detroit Lions are considered NFL players by some? You might be right, they may just be haters. Or they know infinitely more about football than any of us. They certainly know more than drmilled.

Good luck to Timmy either way.

Sure...but My Hater Post wasn't referring to the Detriot Lions. It was referring to the obsessed guy bringing up the Out of sequtence/out of context TT Quotes and the October 2011 Detroit Lions Tim Tebow Quotes. I didn't really base the Hater remark on how good or bad TT is...but the great lengths some folks go to discredit him....Why is that, I wonder.

The 3rd stringer is Greg McElroy. Mr. McElroy enjoyed an excellent NCAA career playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was a 7th-round selection in 2011.
However, Mr. McElroy likely failed to endear himself to his teammates in a January 2012 interview in Birmingham, Alabama:
"It's the first time I've ever been around extremely selfish individuals. I think that's maybe the nature of the NFL, but there were people within our [Jets] locker room that didn't care whether we won or lost as long as they ... had really had good games individually."

The over/under was 8½ a month ago. At the Las Vegas Hotel the under offered +125 odds. DonDiego suspects one cannot get odds that favorable now.

There are some obsessed people on both sides. I said Tim seems cool as far as I'm concerned. The fact is most people that know the game think he is a bad QB, but guys that have never seen a game make claims like this:

I don't think it's hating on Tim as much as hating on some creepy worshipers that can't face reality. I hope he continues to work hard and get's better, or a team figures out the right way to use his talents.

It doesn't help his cause to have delusional fools like drmilled predicting greatness in 2012 for TT.

I'm still waiting for his first one. He is a nice and classy guy but he is not (nor ever will be) an upper-echelon NFL QB. I think he would make a good H-back because he is tough.

I'm not passionately against the guy but that is just my unbiased opinion on his skills as an NFL QB.

The quotes are from a recent interview. They aren't out of sequence or context. They demonstrate his ability to delude himself, and his inability to use the English language correctly and effectively. E.g. "I think understanding offense..."

This is what you said Tebow said:

"The great quarterbacks aren't necessarily super-athletic...

I think understanding offense very well, that'll be a key...

The offense we ran at Florida, I had great fundamentals for that..."

This is what he actually said:

“I think understanding offense very well, that’ll be a key. And just continuing to work on fundamentals,” Tebow said. “My biggest weakness has probably been fundamentals. The offense we ran at Florida, I had great fundamentals for that, with my feet. Now, being under center, play-action, seven-step drops, being in the pocket, it’s different. The great quarterbacks aren’t necessarily super-athletic, but they have great rhythm and timing because of their feet. . . . Sometimes I want to go so fast, so having rhythm and timing is something I need to work on every day.”

You clearly took his statements and placed them out of sequence and out of context. Why do you hate Tim Tebow?

That may be true...but only one started a Hate on Tebow thread today

I don't care one way or the other, but he may go down as one of the greatest college QBs of all time and an NFL bust. But there lots of great college players that don't make it in the NFL....and they aren't constantly attacked.

I think a lot of people Hate on Tebow because they are religious bigots and can't tolerate the open displays of his faith...or don't think it has a place in the world of football entertainment.

I don't care one way or the other...I have no strong religious beliefs...Only the OP knows his motives in attacking Tebow....Is it hate for hate's sake or Trolling "on some creepy worshipers that can't face reality"? Maybe a little of both.

I'm picking on this one statement, but it goes for everything you said.

Great college players that bust in the pros don't get attacked or worshiped as much as Tebow. Everything you said about the hate is also true of the unwarranted praise. Anyone that points at one and ignores the other, has an agenda.

Through no fault of his own, he is a polarizing figure. The difference is the God hating devil worshipers are right about his abilities (or lack thereof) as an NFL QB. The fanatical true believers that see Tim as a great QB are perpetuating the stereotype that they are gullible fools.

When somebody rips Tim and takes heat, that's okay. When somebody speaks of Tim's greatness as an NFL QB, I think the same (or more) heat should be applied.

At some point the fact that he is a bad QB settles the argument for me.
