The better we know Tim Tebow...

Great college players that bust in the pros don't get attacked or worshiped as much as Tebow. Everything you said about the hate is also true of the unwarranted praise. Anyone that points at one and ignores the other, has an agenda.

That may be true...but only one started a Hate on Tebow thread today
Food for thought, doubters- What will you know- it- alls have to say if the Jets make the playoffs with Sanchez on the bench and with Tebow at quarterback? Couldn't happen, huh? Just ask last years Chargers, Jets or Steelers what they thought after Denver beat them - with Tebow at quarterback. Running ones mouth and furnishing lip service is just about all you nay sayers have. I believe what I saw last year and nothing has happened to convince me that Tebow could not continue to defy convention. Whatever happens, I just hope it is as entertaining as last season.
My only beef is that one lucky ass play that knocked the Steelers out of the playoffs last year. Other than that I only find it mildly amusing that he garners such scrutiny by both the haters and admirers. Bottom line is he's a QB who has had some lucky plays only because of his unorthodox play and pro teams will not let that crap fly any further with him. I think PJ might be correct, arena leaue sometime in the future, near or a little longer remains to be seen.

He was a first round draft pick with a 9.7 Million Dollar contract. He's probably getting more than that in endorsements. This guy is set for life and he doesn't appear to be the type that's going to piss it all away. If he doesn't make it in the NFL there's no way in Hell he's going to the Arena League. He'll retire and do something else....whatever that is. He's no T.O.

Tebow can build hospitals in poor areas. If Tebow does spend all his money it will be doing the Lord's work not on $8000 bottles of booze or child support for 8 kids by 8 different women.

8 wins would be about right. The defense is still very good although it lacks a strong pass rushing end & is weak at safety. Right side of the offensive line is weak.

When Sanchez isn't imploding they score enough points.

However a qb controversy could implode the whole thing

Through no fault of his own, he is a polarizing figure. The difference is the God hating devil worshipers are right about his abilities (or lack thereof) as an NFL QB. The fanatical true believers that see Tim as a great QB are perpetuating the stereotype that they are gullible fools.

When somebody rips Tim and takes heat, that's okay. When somebody speaks of Tim's greatness as an NFL QB, I think the same (or more) heat should be applied.

At some point the fact that he is a bad QB settles the argument for me.

edited for spelling

EXACTAMONDO...

Tim Tebow will join the ranks of Andre Ware and Ryan Leaf. But being critical of only one of those three people makes you a sectarian anti-religion bigot.

(I'll let you in on a secret - My Tebow criticism is motivated by a guilty pleasure of watching DrMilled's blood pressure reach critical mass.)

No, I didn't. Why do you hate me? (Note that I am using your argument on you).

I said Tim Tebow is dumb. I then gave examples. IN THAT CONTEXT, the examples are not "out of sequence," nor "out of context." Do you need to be spoon fed? OK, then:

Tim Tebow is so dumb, he believes great QBs aren't necessarily super-athletic. He didn't give any examples. Tim Tebow is so dumb, he routinely uses sentences that are grammatically incorrect. Etc. etc.

Now, please, stop your hate mongering. I don't hate dumb people. I think it's sad that he's so dumb. I just didn't know it until now, thus the title of the thread.

Note that I have never attacked his character, although I believe some of his behavior is inappropriate. He seems to want to live life well, and I don't think he intentionally causes controversy.

And, BTW, I didn't LOL at TT. I LOL'd at Josh McDaniels.

I was referring to the first time sanchez has one of his 4 turnover games & Tebow comes in or the fans/press start calling for Tebow to start

You did take his words out of context. You did quote him out of sequence...the whole quote PROVES that...and your justification for that is that YOUR 'CONTEXT' was your claim that he is Dumb? That's crazy. If someone reads the entire quote, it doesn't seem dumb at all. Many NFL players can't string together two sentences. Many NFL QB's will never start a game Some of them had Wonderlics of 5....Yet you found it necessary to start a Tim Tebow is Dumb thread. Makes me question your motives....Is it to upset the Tim Tebow lovers as Number 51 claims...Or are you just obsessed with him as I suspect? It's like he's the Chevy Volt of Pro Football.
