The better we know Tim Tebow...

FOOTBALL IS AN ATHLETIC ENDEAVOR, even more so than running, etc. Great QBs are freakishly athletic. Rating a QB on simple tests of athleticism ("athletic" in the simplist sense) may serve to predict longevity.

Stop making excuses for a man making excuses.

And there is a difference between a man's character and his current behavior. If you don't understand that, you don't understand much.

Like I said, until you understand there's a difference between Football Skill and Athleticism, you'll never understand what he said. Keep trying though...I'm sure a smart guy like you will get it eventually....even if you don't agree with his definition...you might be able to understand what he's saying if you try really hard.

A guy pointing out his weaknesses is the oposite of making excuses. You keep trying to twist this to your own hate Tebow agenda.

As to your calling him a 'Liar' and then claiming that's not an attack on his character...well that kind of goes to the core of YOUR honesty...or lack thereof.

In any event, I'm through with this thread. I don't even think the guy's a good QB...You think he's a Stupid, Dumb, Liar and not a good QB and feel the need to express that at LVA. The only reason I piped up is you were smearing the kid by taking his quotes out of context and not making any effort to try and understand what he's really saying. That's between you and him now.

I didn't call him a liar. I said he lied. There's a difference. He lied when he said a person can be a great QB without being super-athletic.

To quote a great non-hater, "Selective reading is the hallmark of a hater."
Talk sense to mrmarcus and he will call you foolish. For the record mrmarcus, you did exactly what alanleroy said- you took Tebow's comments and misquoted him out of context to satisfy your own twisted sense of reality. You,sir, are an ignoramus and a liar.

"He lied when he said a person can be a great QB without being super-athletic"

a person can be a great QB without being super-athletic - I think it more a matter of opinion than a lie.

To be able to play in the NFL at any position, even as a backup requires well above athletic skills. I suspect the slowest player in the NFL could beat everyone on this board in a 40 yard dash
TT is a WINNER that hates to lose. When you have a guy who's a winner....they find a way to win.

Back in the 70's, U of Toledo had a QB named Chuck Ely who had never lost a game since junior high. He won every game at the U of Toledo. But this guy was NEVER drafted by the NFL! Why? Because he was black. He went to play in the CFL, and although he didn't win every game with Edmonton, he took them to 3 championships.

No, a person cannot. The athletic ability required to perform at that level is extraordinary. And TT should know that.

And even if it is opinion, then WHY is TT expressing that opinion at this particular time?? My opinion is that he should find professional help for his PR and refrain from live interviews as much as possible, if he really wants to help his new team.

He should also refrain from ever making this type of comment about other players.

I'm still trying to figure out how there can be an argument or disagreement on here about the term "super-athletic".

Is there a true definition of super-athletic available so I can pick a side?

I'm all for debate (Skip versus Stephen A. Smith on First take) (Liondownnow/Detroit versus JPhelan/Chicago) but debating a word with no true definition is gonna get us all nowhere.

Next will be a debate about super-LVA-poster....

My point is this: Why would he even say this at all? Why would he discredit other players, at his position, in any way?? He needs some help with PR, or he's going to eff this up. I think he's not taking the trade very well, and he needs to man up.

The ESPN debate that followed Brady Quinn's comments was disconcerting, at best.

Bring MoneyLA back and have a intimate in-depth discussion on craps and how the table layout and DI and which way a fart could influence a roll a certain way, why you could probably have a thread lasting into the teens on it.
ugh!
