The better we know Tim Tebow...

As an NFL quarterback, I think Tebow knows more about what it takes to succeed than anyone on LVA.

Michael Vick is more athletic than Eli Manning. One guy as two rings and the other has zero. Go figure.

How do you know Tebow isn't a member of LVA? I have an ongoing theory that he and DrMilled are one in the same.

When snidely333 says this, it's not the same as TT saying it.

Am I getting through?? One guy is a controversial QB, making $$ millions, who just got traded to a new team. The other guy ISN'T. One of the two guys should just SHUT UP, in my opinion.

I can't resist....This interview has now been picked up by many news organizations and web sites. And what headlines are we seeing.....Not one of them has considered Tebows comments on 'Super-Athletic' in any way controversial. It seems that ONLY mrmarcus12LVA believes his statement was stupid and a lie and he should have kept his mouth shut. Here are the major headlines that came out of those two paragraphs....

Jets' Tebow says he has to improve 'everything'

Tebow rooting for Mark Sanchez to succeed

Just as AlanLeroy pointed out...these major websites and newpapers agree he was merely talking about his weaknesses. Gee how about that...You'd think that someone else...maybe even a sports reporter might have picked up on the overt attacks on other quarterbacks that mrmarcus12LVA alleges....that is unless the tempest was all in one person's somewhat twisted mind....

As a sidenote, Tebow does mention that he needs to improve his 'footwork' to be more successful. With a coach like Rex Ryan, you can bet his feet will get a lot of attention....some of you will get it.

Dude, those are internet blogs. Nice try, though. But your thorough research has convinced me that you and Tim are right. Great NFL QBs aren't necessarily super-athletic. Avoiding a pass rush 30 times in one day is a breeze. Doing it blindfolded, now THAT would be super-athletic.

Why oh why do such statements always seem to mean, "I shall return!"

Last I looked, the NY Post was a Newspaper...but don't take my word for it....check it out yourself....and find one source (Other than mrmarcus12LVA) who sees a controversy in Tebow's Super-Athletic Statement. I don't think you can...because the controversy is in your mind alone.

This is actually the first time I've ever done that (said I was through with a thread and came back). I just had to get the Rex Ryan foot quip in. I guess I could have come back as another poster and then no one would have known, eh forkie? Ok..now I'm through.

Okay, that's two posts since you promised to leave. I wonder what the over/under on this is.

You seem to enjoy putting words in people's mouths, i.e. mischaracterizing their statements. But I think you are probably just dumb.

I didn't say "attack," I said discredit. And TT himself is controversial. I said the statement he made was dumb, both in content and in the fact that he's making such statements. He can talk about his "weaknesses," and what he's doing to improve, without making comments about other players, and without making it sound as if he's an authority after only 15 starts.

Humility is not just what you say, it's also whether you choose to say anything.

"I say Thomas has intelligence, and that is backed up with facts. Thomas had the 10th highest wonderlic score of any player at the NFL scouting combine with a score of 34, which is well above the average for a wide receiver. His humility is very easily detected in his demeanor. He is a quiet player who lets his play do the talking. "
