Border Insecurity

[intentionally left empty]
"During the decade preceding fiscal year 2012, the federal government agency tasked with caring for unaccompanied minors who cross the border illegally dealt with an average of 7,000 to 8,000 cases a year, according to a Department of Health and Human Services fact sheet. In fiscal year 2011, the number was 6,560.
The following year, however, the number jumped to 13,625. This fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30, 2014, federal officials are estimating that the number could be 80,000, according to an internal memo cited by The New York Times."

Where is this "reuniting" children with parents to which pjstroh referred? 80,000 minors may cross the border alone this year; the parents are still somewhere south of the border, . . . pr'bly beyond the southern Mexican border.

DonDiego still cannot figure it out.
Does pjstroh think this'll all turn out well?

Why its in the very article you said I did not read. I'm now wondering if you did.

"An unusually large number of those crossing in South Texas are unaccompanied children, many seeking to join parents who are already in the U.S. illegally. Authorities arrested 47,017 unaccompanied children on the border from October through May, up 92 percent from the same period a year earlier. A draft Border Patrol memorandum estimates that number could reach 90,000 in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, up from a previous government estimate of 60,000."

Helping DonDiego figure things out is a position above my pay grade.

Well, let me see. The lady who cleans my room in Vegas is being reunited with her son...while we are deporting her car-thief-boyfriend. I'd say things are turning out well. I'm also looking forward to the 2016 election where the Xenophobes in DonDiego's political party of choice will undoubtedly force their candidate to take yet another extreme, out-of-touch position on the topic of illegal immigration.... so as to guarantee victory for the candidate in my political party of choice.

Things will turn out well indeed.
Shocked.....Shocked I tell you ....that Don Diego would start a thread, with the whole intent of said thread as a thinly veiled attack on the Obama Administration.

Perhaps DD would like to comment on the right wing affiliation of the couple who slaughtered 2 LV police officers and an innocent civilian yesterday ?

(sound of crickets chirping......)

If obama isn't responsible for border security and immigration; who is?
"An unusually large number of those crossing in South Texas are unaccompanied children, many seeking to join parents who are already in the U.S. illegally"

If the parents are here illegally; where does it say in our laws that the children are entitled to come to the US?

Meanwhile 1 Marine accidntly crosses the border into Mexico and has been locked up for several months.

If Obama were in charge of preventing future floods in New Orleans, he would build a flood wall 60% the way around the city, and he would next claim victory. He's utilized the same philosophy for keeping illegals out of America.
From what I understand, the catch illegals in Texas, drop them off in Arizona, and call this deportation.

Actually these are more funny numbers from obamaland.

Prior to obama the US did not count as a deportaion, illegals who were caught at the border and sent back. Now they are counted as deportations, thus articially inflating the numbers over prior years

People who think building walls are a good solution to population migration:
1) The East Berlin Government
2) The United States Tea Party
