It's terrorism, whether foreign or homegrown. Regardless, here's a proposition I'd be glad to bet on: the bombing was not carried out by an agnostic or atheist.

Two explosions were detonated at the race's finish line within seconds of each other, beginning at 2:50 p.m. Three other undetonated devices were later discovered by authorities. A federal law enforcement source told The Post there are at least 12 dead and at least 132 people have been treated at seven area hospitals.

Law enforcement sources confirmed to The Post that authorities have a identified a suspect, a Saudi national, who is currently being guarded in a Boston hospital with shrapnel wounds.

Looks like the Saudi guy checked out and isnt a suspect, and authorities are searching an apartment in Boston, and THAT is per the nuts over on Fox News........ if that is true, and the longer this goes on the more likely it is domestic terrorism.

Ah, yes, Rupert Murdoch's great New York Post.

Here's what The Post also reported:

A law enforcement source confirmed to The Post that 12 people were killed and nearly 50 were injured in today's blast.

Um, yeah, sure Rupert, whatever you say . . . .
There is probably more to the Saudi being held at the hospital than is being let on as the authorities are probably looking into who else was involved.

The injured Saudi may be why the other bombs were not detonated.

My heart goes out to all those & their families that were killed and injured at this bombing. What is particularly heart wrenching is the family where the 8 year old boy was killed, his sister lost a limb and the mother is apparently seriously injured; all while watching their father run a race.
AP has reported that no other bombs were found. This bombing is one more horrendous reminder that evil still walks among us and may strike anywhere in this crazy world, killing innocent people in every attack. Huge thanks to all the heroes who jumped in to help out the injured at the race, and for those who work hard to keep us all safer. Extra hugs for the kids and grand-kids today...

According to the latest from the Boston Police Department, there were NO unexploded bombs and there is NO one being held in custody. If the police department wanted to avoid specifics, they would be stupid to make categorical denials that would later prove to be lies, when they could simply give a no comment.

In the Atlanta Olympics bombing, the heroic Richard Jewell was originally suspected and persecuted, while the terrorist turned out to be an anti-abortion fanatic. In the Oklahoma City bombing, a Jordanian student was originally suspected; of course an anti-federal government terrorist was responsible.

Obviously, none of us has much of a clue as to who did this. But betting against the unsourced claims of the New York Post is almost always a good bet.
Actually it was CBS news that reported the Saudi being held

"CBS News) Following the twin blasts at the Boston Marathon that has claimed two lives and dozens injured, a Saudi national is being held in custody in relation to the incident who was near the scene of the blast, CBS News correspondent John Miller reported."

It was Rupert Murdoch's New York Post, not CBS News that reported that the Saudi was a "suspect". Scroll up for the portion snidley333 quoted from the New York Post.

CBS News apparently just reported the Saudi was in "custody", a different status. And probably a welcome one for the Saudi, since the Murdoch and the rest of the right-wing press is already rushing to brand him or her a terrorist.
Knock if off already.
Sheesh. Again another political agenda is implied. As I stated in my original post, there are many things that news networks get wrong in the early going for stories of this magnitude.

After thirty three years in emergency response, thirty two of those years on a HazMat team, I can say truer words were never spoken.
