Dealertainers axed!

Why do casinos lose so much money? Seems hard to do.
Time to take the 7*'s or Diamond trips asap, you never know when those comps will go away!

Back to the subject, I loved the Dealertainers, it's too bad they're getting rid of them. I guess they're trying to change the style/brand of the hotel.

And Candy, I do remember those dealers at the Rio, what a joke that was!
Caesars paid $654 million last quarter in interest. That amounts to $7.1 million per day and $300,000 per hour.

Former Dealertainers were offered positions as part-time regular dealers, or severance pay. Some had been with the program since it started.

Either they were getting tipped to much and CET knew they weren't getting that money back or they decided they were slowing the games down because people were watching them instead of gambling. Any way you look at it, another cheapskate dumbass move.

Ray

I imagine CET had to pay them more than a typical dealer.

I can't EVEN believe you said that

Why's that? You said they were let go because they were tipped to much or they slowed the games down. I'm guessing they were let go because CET had to pay them a lot more than regular dealers. Either way it always gets back to cutting costs with CET...just wait until they go into default on their corporate bonds and see how generous they'll be with customers and employees.

The dealers getting tipped doesn't cost the casino a single dime (except the fact they can't win that money from you). I wish one of these "special dealers" (one of the 'dealertainers or a 'fantasy' dealer) would chime in on how much they get paid. I'm sure it's the same as the other dealers. Another thing, most of these tables only pay 6-5 on a blackjack so it cost the players more to play.

I'm guessing that the company is attempting to distance itself from anything Imperial Palace.

If that is true, why did they just let the 30 'performing dealers' go rather than base the layoff on seniority and integrate the remaining 'performing dealers' back into the dealer pool?

But why not just tell them to stop singing and just deal. And then have the layoffs the traditional way. These dealertainers were not treated the same as non-singing dealers.
