Designated smoking area(s) at McCarran

No.

Smoking is harmful to nearby persons who haven't chosen to smoke. That's the distinction you seem to be missing. That renders its consumption fundamentally different from the consumption of food or alcohol (at least until the drinker starts driving, that is).

I congratulate you on overcoming your addiction, I hope your success continues.

There are dry counties. Drinking is not a constitutionally protected right.

Neither is smoking. However, where does it state the government can tell me what to smoke or drink?

Every state in this union has adopted laws identifying substances you cannot legally smoke or drink.

You must know this, right?

Actually, most come from the federal government, not the states. The feds typically use the commerce clause to force states into complying with federal laws.

Please show me in what document/s gives specific powers to the state or federal to tell one what to smoke or drink. Note: Its NOT in the Constitution.

No.

Smoking is annoying to nearby persons who haven't chosen to smoke.

Fixed it for ya.

The science is still out on second hand smoke causing cancer. (No one can seem to do an unbiased study and then have it peer reviewed by an unbiased person)

My addictions were overcome by 10 days of detox (for my alcohol addiction). By the time I woke up 10 days after entering the hospital, my nicotine levels were gone and I didn't want nor could I have a smoke. A week later once I was discharged, I was too skinny and too weak to smoke. Now, all I want is cookies and milk. (cookies instead of the smokes and milk instead of the beer)
The science is NOT out, chefantwon. Second-hand smoking causes disease and is another reason that smoking bans are in effect. I smoked for thirteen years and finally gave that sh*+ up, mainly for my kids' sake. I quit cold turkey. There is no reason to smoke tobacco nowadays.

My head almost exploded today when I saw that the smoking rooms are back at LAS.
A smoking room with slots is open in C at McCarran near Gate C4.

Bumping a year and a half old thread is an interesting way to make your first post here. I am an ex smoker myself, but I am not sure why seeing enclosed smoking areas in the airport would be a head exploding experience. I can't see any reason that a non smoker would want to enter the smoking rooms at the airport, and if you don't go in there, the smoke shouldn't bother you.

I am curious about how you deal with smoke in casinos if the enclosed smoking places in the airport bother you that much.
If you can't stand the smoke then keep the hell out of the smoking area/room
