Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are the Chicago Cubs of football. They will miss the playoffs again . This team is cursed. And never before has a 5000 yard per season quarterback [Stafford ] been worse in the clutch or fourth quarter . Go Michigan State !!!

Baltimore gave them plenty of chances to win that game. The Ravens never scored a TD the entire game !

On the other side, I am pretty damn impressed by that Ravens kicker. A 61 yarder to win it !!
I fell asleep before the half, but I had stated earlier that I would take the Ravens +6 because Stafford would have too many turnovers! I guess that was true.
The Lions are as cursed as anybody can be. It was hilarious a month or two ago when someone on LVA thought the Bears were robbed in their loss to Detroit. The Lions tried hard to lose that one but accidentally won. I don't cry about calls because we do more damage than the refs ever could.

What happened to Megatron? Megatron dropped two easy passes. At least one of them would have put Detroit in field goal range. The refs screwed the Lions by not calling obvious interference. That would have put the ball at the 1 yard line and should have ended up with a touchdown or a field goal at worst. Johnson then screws up the two point conversion by dropping it, which would have resulted in an overtime game assuming the 61 yard field goal was kicked.
As a Packer fan, I felt the Lions were the most talented team, even with Rodgers. Maybe coaching is the problem?
Look at he schedule. The Lions will win the NFCN and the first round game, then lose in the second round on the road.

Never compare any team to the Chicago Cubs. That helps no one.

Edited to add:

The Lions lost to Pittsburgh , Tampa Bay , and a Aaron Rodgers less Green Bay. Not exactly powerhouses . They are lucky to be in such a weak division , gives them a slim chance at best . Bob
The Giants play the Lions in Detroit this week. This is now a must win for Detroit and they should be able to win this game. Chicago has a 1 game lead over Detroit, but if they end up in a tie, Detroit goes because they beat Chicago twice. Chicago plays Philly at Philly. I think Philly will win that game. Green Bay has a half game lead over Detroit, and they host a fairly hot team in the Steelers. I don't know if Aaron Rodgers will be playing. Green Bay has that tie, which can hurt or help them.

The Lions play a very hard playing Vikings team for their last game, while the Packers play the Bears.

I think Detroit still have a very good chance to make it, but they can't continue these stupid mistakes.

The Lions were literally handed the division championship.Only they refused to accept it.This has been the Lions m.o. since 1957.Tease the fans than collapse.Being a fan over 40 years, this is what I expect from this team anymore.Nothing will change till ownership changes.
If I were Calvin Johnson I would demand a trade after the season. It would be a shame to see him waste his career here like Barry Sanders did.
