The Lions lost to Green Bay when Aaron Rodgers played. The Lions defeated Green Bay when Rodgers did not play.
You are right! They beat Green Bay on Thanksgiving . Bob
It's the Bobby Layne curse. I've been suffering through over 50 years of watching the Lions snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They have had some godawful QB's during this time period...thought Stafford would be different...but no...chokes time and again. I wish the the owner (Ford) would sell the team to someone who is really interested in building a quality team and hiring some quality coaching instead of:

Monty Clark 43-61 (wins-losses)
Darryl Rogers 18-40
Wayne Fontes 66-67
Bobby Ross 27-30
Marty Mornhinwig 5-27 (a real ace)
Rod Marnelli 10-38 (ditto)
Schwartz 22-42

Let's not forget that draft pick genius. Matt (Doh!) Millen as general manager.

If these clowns don't get their act together pretty soon, I may have to go to the "Dark Side" and become a Packer fan (oh the horror).

Glasses can affect your vision; especially when they have been emptied several times......

Spring Break 2000 !!!

GO GIANTS!

Typical "Motor City Kitties", as a local radio station here in Minneapolis calls them. I feel Green Bay will win the division with victories in their last 2 games over Pittsburgh and Chicago. Oh, and thanks Matthew Stafford for low fantasy production, allowing me to steal a victory last weekend.
I really thought when they added Bush to the backfield he may well be the last ingredient for them to have a really good season. I guess not! They have spent a fortune trying to get this team in the playoffs. Defensive secondary is suspect at best. If they can't get to the QB they are very average on D.

Offense seems to just get in their own way! If it is not Calvin dropping the ball on an open pattern, it is Stafford forcing another throw. I do still like to watch them, just can't get invested in them and be disappointed all the time. They can get hot on offense and score quickly, problem being so does the other team.

Coach has GOT TO GO! He has seemed to reach his plateau and can not go above and beyond that.
Well Lions fans you always have next year.
The only problem with firing the coach is it gives the owner the chance to hire another inexperienced coach. He has proven he is not capable of hiring qualified people, wehther at coach or general manager.
Put a fork in them. They are finished, even though Green Bay lost today. If Chicago should somehow be upset tonight, there is going to be a lot of soul searching.
Guess the Lions can use the Cubs favorite saying: "Wait til next season."

Chicago was the underdog last night, not the favorite, so their loss wasn't an "upset".
