Does anyone else hate Windows 8 as much as me?

My wife bought me a new laptop which I absolutely love. The problem is it came with Windows 8. I know Microsoft is trying to get ahead of the curve or play catch up with the tablet generation much like they did years ago with the mouse. In my opinion it was too much all at once.

If I wanted to use a tablet I would break out my tablet and use it. I love how fast Windows 8 starts and in all fairness it does have its' bright spots but the whole user interface sucks, especially for those of us that are mouse users.

I finally installed a program named "Classic Shell" just so I could get something done on my new laptop. I know MS is coming out with windows 8.1, maybe that will be more of a gradual step towards breaking us old time Windows user in to the new age. I pity any business that has to switch. Trying to get their employees up to speed is going to be a costly venture time wise.
I have a friend that also hates Windows 8 on his new laptop. I mentioned to him I had heard there was a setting in it that would bring back the classic desktop/start button setup. I'm guessing that's what "Classic Shell" does? Was it an additional program or was it incorporated into WIN8"
I tried it out during beta testing. hated it. it cries out for a touchscreen.

just did a fresh install of win7 on an SSD drive and it flies.
Classic Shell is a free program. It makes windows 8 behave about 95% like Windows 7. Here is the link

I use start8 which costs a whole 5 bucks and turns windows 8 back into the format we all prefer.
Windows 8 is an awful product. It will probably go down in history as one of the biggest OS miscalculations of all time.
Oh How I Hate Windows 8.

Everything Sucks on Windows 8, I don't see one single improvement from Windows 7.

They even screwed up FreeCell Solitaire, I could care less if the cards turn into Butterflies or spin in giant circles every time I win a game.

The only way Microsoft can fix Windows 8 is go back to Windows 7

Check the help menu, options and unclick animations and see if that stops it.

I only see a How to Play, Hint and New Deal. I can find no help menu with Windows 8
Windows 7 had the Help menu in the upper left corner.

I must not be sweeping from lower left to upper right while holding down the Ctrl/Alt/DEL and rubbing the top of my head in a counterclockwise direction correctly to access the Help Menu with Windows 8
I am getting ready to revert my other laptop back to Windows 7 Windows 8 is just that bad. I have been waiting since Windows 8 to came out for HP to release a driver for my high end video chipset I have been using a "stock driver" Hp finally said they aren't going to bother to release one now.

Windows 8 is responsible for the depressed state of PC sales. Most folks are keeping their old stuff because they don't want to mess with Windows 8. My primary use of my PC is webmaster stuff: Video Editing, Photo Editing, Some Light Coding and writing content. None of that type of stuff is really suitable for touch gestures.
