Pshaw! I have a wonderful memory. In fact, I remember all of the following:

  • Double Bonus strategy.
  • NSU strategy (except for the odd penalty card situation).
  • pi to fourteen places.*
  • One of Shakespeare's sonnets ("When in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes...")
  • Having NEVER ever, ever, claimed that "the president singlehandedly controls the stock market." Or even with more than one hand.
  • A girl named Ashley with a black eye and a B carved in her cheek.

Any of the above ring a bell, Roulette Man?

*Actually, I have the following poem memorized as a mnemonic for pi:
    God I need a drink,
    Alcoholic of course,
    After all those lectures,
    Involving radical equations

  • ahh - the sonnets - love them!

  • My oh my it is truly sad when one has to resort to deceipt, half-truths, and being outright disingenuous. Did you do your cut and pastes today Forkush? You have a little bit of creamed corn on your chin, you may want to have the nurse wipe that off.

    Life is good.

DD, what are your graphs? I see numbers but don't know what they represent. Whatever it is is going up over time. Happy days.

Whatever happened to those posters? Maybe they are just lurking now? Maybe they changed their name?

    These are good questions.
Ignored by the very same posters that have weighed in on this thread.

Strong opinions and predictions are so cool with no consequences, hoping you don't get called on your bullshit. It is fun to throw crap all over the place, as long as you don't have to clean up with answers.

Now you're being called, what do you got?
DD's playing his usual passive-aggressive game. His first chart is NRA Membership. That organization, known for honesty, claims almost one whole percent of Americans as members.

Amazing to think that just over ninety nine percent of Americans have opted not to be members of the NRA, one would think it would be higher.

    Buzzzzzzz! Wrong.

DonDiego's first chart is a record of the number of National Instant Criminal Background Check System [NICS] requests on firearm purchasers from dealers each month, . . . so a little under 1,000,000-per-month during President Bush's final year, up to 2.78 million in December 2012. It would seem the citizens of the United States know what they want. 2.78 million citizens had a merry Christmas, . . . and that's not even counting private sales among citizens or illegal transactions.
F'rinstance, the City of Chicago prohibits the sale of firearms within the city limits. Umm, . . . how's that going?

But Chilcoot need not fear for his safety. Although Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has requested a ban on "assault weapons" and magazines holding over 10 rounds for US citizens, DHS is immune from the proposed ban and will protect Chilcoot. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has submitted a proposal to acquire 7000 "assault weapons" for DHS; the only difference between the "assault weapons" acquired by citizen-civilians and those to be owned by DHS personnel is that DHS's are fully-automatic and come with 30-round magazines.

DonDiego's second chart is the price history of Sturm Ruger & Company, Inc (RGR) over the last five years. Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of firearms in the United States. It offers single-shot, autoloading, bolt-action, and sporting rifles; shotguns; rim fire autoloading and center fire autoloading pistols; and single-action and double-action revolvers.

Oh, . . . and by the way, . . . poor old DonDiego is getting tired of folks calling him passive-aggressive.
The Urban Dictionary defines passive-aggressive as "the act of doing something specifically to piss someone off, but with the cover of 'I didn't realize it would bother you' ".
    Oh, . . . wait. Never mind.

Does DD know if Chilcoot is male or female? I thought I saw something where it made be believe Chilcoot is a female.

I just wish people would stop denigrating cream corn when pureed peas are the real enemy.
