Buzzzzzzz! Wrong.
DonDiego's first chart is a record of the number of National Instant Criminal Background Check System [NICS] requests on firearm purchasers from dealers each month, . . . so a little under 1,000,000-per-month during President Bush's final year, up to 2.78 million in December 2012. It would seem the citizens of the United States know what they want. 2.78 million citizens had a merry Christmas, . . . and that's not even counting private sales among citizens or illegal transactions.
F'rinstance, the City of Chicago prohibits the sale of firearms within the city limits. Umm, . . . how's that going?
But Chilcoot need not fear for his safety. Although Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has requested a ban on "assault weapons" and magazines holding over 10 rounds for US citizens, DHS is immune from the proposed ban and will protect Chilcoot. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has submitted a proposal to acquire 7000 "assault weapons" for DHS; the only difference between the "assault weapons" acquired by citizen-civilians and those to be owned by DHS personnel is that DHS's are fully-automatic and come with 30-round magazines.
DonDiego's second chart is the price history of Sturm Ruger & Company, Inc (RGR) over the last five years. Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of firearms in the United States. It offers single-shot, autoloading, bolt-action, and sporting rifles; shotguns; rim fire autoloading and center fire autoloading pistols; and single-action and double-action revolvers.
Oh, . . . and by the way, . . . poor old DonDiego is getting tired of folks calling him passive-aggressive.
The Urban Dictionary defines passive-aggressive as "the act of doing something specifically to piss someone off, but with the cover of 'I didn't realize it would bother you' ".
Oh, . . . wait. Never mind.
