FCC votes to consider lifting in-flight cell phone ban

snidely333--"What's the penalty for making a cell phone call on the plane?"-----------You would have to sit between forkush and chilcoot for the duration of the flight. That should discourage anyone from making a cell phone call on an airplane.

Nice to see that Southwest and Delta are smart enough to not allow cell phone calls.
And it should be the airline's choice, based on their marketing judgment, not some big government nanny federal intervention like you advocate.

Alex broke a federal rule that cell phones have to be off. Now that there is no federal rule, just an airline policy.

Besides, it's not like you can get a signal at 30k feet anyways. Much ado about nothing.

Are you guys sure you're thinking of Alex Baldwin? I think it might have been Cliff Eastwood.

Or was it Leslie Snipes?

Tim Carrey? Hal Pacino? Riley Cyrus? Donald Schwartzenegger?
How about the airlines have a stick for each flight, you know, that way it can be passed around. Would be popular with the 60's and 70's crowd?
