I did nothing to enslave anyone but I can be called a cracker by a black person and it's ok.
At some point black ppl need to stop hating the white race living today for what their ancestors did.
I have many black friends who have told me that they know many other blacks who simply hate white ppl.
But it's ok, right?

No, bigotry and prejudice are always wrong. But white bigotry tends to come from ignorance and fear, while black bigotry tends to come from anger. So is the anger justified?
As I mentioned before, blacks had to spend 60% longer in lines than whites to vote...eight months ago! And while marijuana usage among blacks and whites is very similar, blacks are four times as likely to be arrested for it. NYPD stats say that New York City whites are more likely to be carrying illegal weapons or drugs, but people of color are about four time as likely to be targeted for a "stop and frisk." Through their high school years, students at predominately black schools receive an average of $8,000 less in total government funding than at predominately white ones. And people with black sounding names are less likely to be called in for job interviews, and the darker your skin, the longer your prison sentence. That's is reality for black people TODAY.
And Jim Crow laws aren't exactly ancient history. Most of us were alive when Sammy Davis Jr. couldn't stay in a Strip hotel while he was performing there, and when interracial marriage was illegal in 16 states. Most blacks have parents or grandparents who can tell them about being on the receiving end of blatant, unapologetic discrimination when it came to jobs, schooling, and housing. And their standard of living - to this day - is likely lower because of it.
And treegirl, during your lifetime we had a president who fabricated a story about a "welfare queen" with a six figure income, and who at one time fought to preserve laws that allowed racial discrimination in housing. And here on this board, we have people with the casual bigotry to object to black organizations, who would never object to Italian-American or Irish-American pride.
So yeah, I'm more likely to be somewhat understanding about black anger and bigotry. Just as I am more understanding about your cluelessness about it because of your youth. If you were older, and should have known better, I would not be so understanding.
