Georgia gun legislation

I guess this guy did not get Boilerman's memo....

Georgia FedEx employee kills with assault rifle before killing himself
Nor did this guy . . . .

I can't really put my finger on it, but something makes me think Boilerman didn't really intend this guy to have a gun in the first place . . . .

Does anyone know if Dominick Kantrel Howell or his cousin Cedric Recardo Patrick Jr. had criminal records? I don't want bad guys running around with guns, nor do I suggest that folks should carry their guns in their "wasteband", as that's an accident waiting to happen. In fact, I don't know one person who carries their gun in such a fashion.

Under the new Georgia law the FedEx employee was perfectly within his rights to wrap a sleeve of bullets around his torso and walk into a building with an assault rifle. The police cant be alarmed until he actually starts firing bullets.

Aint Georgia great? Its so much safer there now.

It wasn't an assault rifle. It was a shotgun. The shooting took place at the FedEx warehouse that I strongly suspect was gun free zone. Guess the shooter broke that rule.
I've not read the law so I don't know the details, but as you know I'm a strong supporter of profiling. I would like to see police stop the person that you describe, and I also see that PJ is a bit conflicted about profiling.

Strange how a weapon "goes off" when the owner DOESN"T use the F'ng safety?

That's why they have CCW classes BEFORE you get a license.
Not all guns have mechanical safeties. I don't think the gun slipped and accidentally went off.

All guns have safeties, some are the squeeze type and others have a grip type in addition to the mechanical safety. (45 semi auto) In any case any responsible gun owner should be able to tell you rule #1 of gun safety: never point a gun at anything you don't intend to kill/shoot at. #2 All guns are loaded, see rule #1.

Profiling? I wonder if you understand the definition of that word.
I don't wish to profile one group of people walking around with assault weapons and giving a pass to oters....with the exception of law enforcement officials. I question the level of sanity and paranoia of anyone who feels the need for a loaded firearm in public in order to feel safe.

Whats Boilerman's profile of people who shouldn'tbe walking around with guns? I mean aside from Feds enforcing the law at a Nevada ranch?
