Georgia gun legislation

Freedom!

Smart guns sound kind of dumb any way. Mechanically most guns are relatively simple adding a bunch of electronics to them doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I think the sense in it is trying to keep the guns from being used by the wrong hands. It's a technological solution trying to fill part of the enormous common sense gap.

The Model T was very simple. It was also an unsafe death trap that we'd never allow onto today's market.

Do you understand now?
No not really. The really simple solution is to get at it in two parts: 1. Close the gun show/private sale exemption. 2 Don’t let insane people or people that live with insane people buy guns.

Unfortunately, there simply isn’t enough political willpower to do these simple things. Jared Loughner and James Holmes were both certifiably bat shit crazy. Loughner had been kicked out of community college because the administration there thought he might harm himself or someone else. That should have prompted some sort of mandatory mental health evaluation. James Holmes had a therapist and she had contacted the police and reported that she was afraid he might harm someone as required by law. The police did nothing to follow up on it. Neither one of these guys should have been able to buy a gun. Adam Lanza’s mom shouldn’t have been able to buy a gun because she lived with a nutcase that had a history of violence.

Having to have a “special” watch on and enter a pin number would seem to detract one from defending oneself in their home.

Why do these smartgun laws only apply to citizens and not to the police or military. Seems like a technology to prevent guns from falling to the wrong hands would something great for the police or military.

Adding a bunch of electronics is not something that the average consumer wants. I don't want to pay more for a gun with fancy electronics that provides me an unproven benefit. Let the police adapt this technology and we'll see if it works after a few years.
Chilly, would you consider voting for a socialist candidate?

I'd consider voting for General Jack D. Ripper before I'd vote for Boilerman - although it might be hard to tell the difference.

Oh my, Forkie dodges the question again. What are you hiding?

georgia man shoots himself in the dick

He had to bring his gun with him to the gas station...just in case he got ambushed by AlQueada or Green Peace. But he couldn't operate the pump and stand guard at the same time...so he put his gun in his pocket and accidentally blew his dick off.

his dick is suing. No word yet if the shooter will be incorporating a "stand your ground" defense strategy

Good for him.And I doubt his dick will do any more "standing".
