Some of you keep saying DD was warned, even to the extent of a hundred times, where did this come from? To even quote teechur ,
"I was a little surprised in that he didn't receive a "Knock it off" warning message from LVA bosses first"

Yea, you'd think they would at least do that before whacking them both. Anyway, quit saying he was warned, apparently he wasn't.

You think DD couldn't see all the public warnings anthony and his crew has repeatedly posted in these forums?

You must not have much faith in DD's ability to read.

What were you expecting? A special engraved invitation telling him to stop posting political threads?

Doesn't everyone know that political posts are not allowed on this message board by now?? Its not rocket science.

There were SEVERAL, and I mean LOTS of threads that he started that ended up getting deleted, and he even had the nerve to come back and start a "where did my thread go?" thread in which Anthony (again) stated that political threads would not be tolerated. That should have been warning enough!

If he won't listen to the man himself, and then continued to start those types threads, then "see ya, and I wouldn't want to be ya!"

Maybe he'll find a nice political message board, somewhere, with a whole new group, that he can have fun with.

While I really like DD, I think that Rizzo has a very good point.

Here is what Odysseus wrote not too long ago (while he was moderator):

Just a reminder - there are to be NO political threads started on this board.
Repeat violators will be chided in private, then banned in public. Well banned anyway - we dont really announce that you are banned, you just suddenly get real quiet.


Now I don't know if DD was chided in private by the new moderators, but there were plenty of political threads deleted (along with the usual "where did that thread go?" threads). I would think an appeal with a promise to not do it, will hopefully get DD (and teechur) back.

AC could have done a very simple fix and be done with it. However, censorship rarely works.

Maybe next February somebody will figure it out, although not much hope there as simply no one knows how to set up a forum or how to maintain it.
