Why do the unions desire a public vote? Admit it, you don't care that the unions intimidate. The ends justify the means, correct?

I agree that government should get involved to stop illegal activities of us who grew up in Chicago know that unions will regularly threaten folks with physical violence, and the reason for a secret vote is to eliminate this illegal activity.
Those who desire anything other than a secret vote wish for a union's ability to continue these threats.
