How do you deal with posters (here) that annoy you?

I can go for that spanking TG. Now you're talking!

And Roulette Man has just been out creeped.

Didn't think it was possible, but never underestimate BAGIANT when it comes to odd. Roulette Man is saved by the strangest dude ever.

I don't think anyone can outcreep you when you made fun of Lou Piniellia leaving the Cubs two weeks early to go be with his dying mother. That is about as creepy as anybody has ever been on this board.

Cool story bro. I don't recall ever making fun of anyone spending time with their dying mother. If you can prove it actually happened, then you are right and I am a tool.

Until then, this is just a Roulette Man lie. Which only adds to your already legendary creepiness.

What does everyone think about Pete Rose and his habit of gambling on baseball while managing the Reds?

My understanding is that he only bet on the Reds to win. If that is the case I don't have a problem with it. BTW Pete loved to gamble, I used to see him at the dog track in St. Petersburg. He was always nice. I sure wish the Reds still had spring training here.

If I was in your shoes, I'd probably deny it too. Now the question is which of the following pertains to why you did it and don't supposedly remember it?

1. Was it a drunk post?
2. Are you so used to posting such vile and derogatory remarks, that it wasn't memorable to you?
3. You did it and remember it, but are too ashamed to admit it?

You definitely did it and I don't keep links in a libary and the search function just doesn't seem to work well on this board.

No, Pete Rose bet both ways on the Reds, for and against. Remember, Peter Rose is a liar, and bad at it.

He served prison for tax evasion.

He spent 15 years claiming he never bet on baseball, then finally admitted what everyone already knew in 2004.

He said he bet on the Reds every night, but didn't, suggesting that he personally wanted to win some games more than others. He wouldn't bet on the Reds when Soto or Gulllickson pitched. "When Rose didn't bet on the Reds, it was a signal to bookies that it might be a good night to bet on the Reds' opponent. That is why baseball's rules against betting draw no distinction between a principal in a game betting on his team or against it." USAToday, 2007.

He also claimed he never made any bets from the clubhouse, but MLB found "dozens of pages telephone calls Rose's betting buddies made to his clubhouse office at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati in the hours before Reds games and then to bookies, presumably to place Rose's bets." NY Times, 2004

Yes, Rose hit all those baseballs for hits. Amazing player, no dispute.

Still it's grossly outweighed by his gambling. I'm hard-pressed to come up with anyone who hurt baseball more over the course of his lifetime (George Steinbrenner? Chick Gandil? Pete Rozelle?) than Pete Rose. While managing, he became a gambler first, baseballman second.

I do drunk post, read it the next day and apologize when appropriate. I am a Cubs fan so if there was a Cubs/Piniella thread I probably did post in it.

There is no way in hell I "made fun of Lou Piniellia leaving the Cubs two weeks early to go be with his dying mother". Did not happen. I've lost both my parents in the last five years, I would never make fun of a seriously ill family member. I believe it is possible that you are making an honest mistake, but based on your behavior on this forum I think it is far more likely that you are flat out lying.

Let the readers consider both of our posting histories and choose who to believe.

I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you. It was where Lou permanently left the Cubs. You have had just horrible vile attacks on people, and you then act innocent. Why don't you swear on the life of a loved one if you are innocent and didn't say this?

LOL. That is like getting an endorsement from Al Capone.

He doesn't need me to speak for him, but I'm guessing that Number51 is probably assuming we're not children here, and so it probably hasn't occurred to him that there might be someone here' who'd find swearing on the life of a loved one somehow meaningful.

You've made a pretty nasty allegation against Number51, you should prove it true or apologize.

BTW, Al Capone? Talk about a current reference!

He should have said: "That's like getting an endorsement from Justin Bieber".
