You would have found it even cuter if you had clicked on the link. This is from Lee Atwater, the very top strategist in the Bush Sr. presidential campaigns:

"You start out in 1954 by saying, "N----r, n----r, n----r." By 1968, you can't say "n----r" — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this," is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "N----r, n----r."

And you think that referring to Obama as a school child and a man isn't code for "boy." Grow up.

That is certainly where his polices have been. that is why it seems so bizarre to me that the righties call him a socialist or even a communist. From a logical look at the facts point of view it makes no sense. I'd also agree with Tutontow that he comes up short in the leadership department. It seems to me he always overcompensates because he is trying to avoid being the "angry black man" and wants to be liked.

WOW, I can't believe you think he "overcompensates to avoid being the angry black man" you have got to be kidding. He is the most arrogant leader our country has ever seen. And for his leadership and gaining respect, you just need to check in with the leaders of the other countries in the world. They play him as a school child playing a "man's" game of leading his country.
Wow, within just one paragraph you got synonyms for "uppity" and "boy."

Actually I said "child" but yes we were all "boys" at one time. When one can not gain respect he is often called a "boy" or "childish" so don't tie racial undertones to my statement. The guy is a plain and simple fuckin joke who has led nothing in his entire life! Just ask how much respect he gets from Putin! Nada nothin, cause he has not earned "respect" from anyone outside of this country. But yet lemmings such as you proclaim him some sort of savior. I guess if our country continuing to run debt we can not repay is a "savoir" you and I have nothing in common.

YES he is a "boy" it the world of leaders. It is not racial don't pull that bullshit tag here! We are all BOYS at one time, most gain respect as we age, he has not!

Full disclosure: I didn't read any of this. I am merely responding to the topic title, "If we had a LEADER"

We have a leader and he led. He held his ground against bullies and dimwits and those who carry water for the Koch Brothers and, once again, he won. And so did the country.

What did the Tea Party deliver? The White House. To Hillary.
So when forky is not stalking LVA members he reads wikipedia

Nah. Today I'm reading the news and REALLY enjoying myself.

Yes, I always find Republican tears particularly sweet.

Well isn't it interesting how it all played out. Republicans' had to grant Democrats concessions to get the Democrats to save them. It will be interesting to see what becomes of the Tea Party wing of the Republican party.
