Legalizing, changing laws, new rules etc. etc.

A couple posts in a recent thread prompted me to start this FUN thread.

What would you like to change? List as many as you want.
Only 1 rule:
NO POLITICS!!!!!!!

Legalize pot ( yep, I'm engaged to a police officer)

Lower drinking age to 18 ( with restrictions like when, how much and where)

All drivers starting at the age of 50 and every 3 years after be required to take driving test.

You can't have a thread about changing laws without getting into politics
What would you like to change? List as many as you want.

1. Update the LVA forum software

DonDiego would like to see each State issue a lifetime drivers license to all drivers reaching age 62, sorta like the National Parks Senior Pass, so's they do not have to ever again endure the embarrassment of taking a vision-test as their eyesight fails.

All drivers starting at the age of 50 and every 3 years after be required to take driving test.

Ha, it's the women that can't drive regardless of age! GET OFF THE DAMN PHONE!

True. Per mile driven, women are safer drivers than men.

But those same stats tell us that older drivers are safer than the younger ones. Ageist much?

Dropping the drinking age to 18? No thank you. This was tried by several states back in the early 70's. My home state of Michigan tried it for a couple of years and then changed the age back to 21. It was great for the bar owners, especially in the college towns. My observation is that the average 18 yr old can't handle to drink responsibly. Alcohol related traffic incidents and problems skyrocketed. I had just turned 21 and in college when the law in Michigan went into effect. High school seniors were supplying their underage high school buddies with booze, etc. Maybe times have changed, but this idea was tried, and failed. Just my personal observation/opinion.

Glasses can affect your vision; especially when they have been emptied several times.....

Treegirl, why drivers at age 50? 50 isn't old.

That's what my parents said relating to some of their friends who are now turning into bad drivers.
