Maryland Cops Suck

Dude, if you can't keep up with the conversation, maybe you should merge over to the slow lane.

It's the senility. He can't help himself.

Meanwhile, while this cop was patrolling the highway ticketing a driver for driving 2 mph under the posted speed limit, real criminals were stealing and robbing people who had no police presence available. Some real good police work there. It is good to see that this cop and his police department have their priorities straight.

I am always amused by the line of thinking that while I am being pulled over for a traffic incident, there is some felony that this officer could have prevented if we wasn't on the side of the road with me. How would the officer know the exact time and location of the purported armed robbery or burglary?

Second, it's my understanding that the primary responsibility of Maryland State Police is to patrol freeway/highways. Like California Highway Patrol or Arizona Department of Public Safety. They play important roles on our highways. It's not like this guy is assigned to a neighborhood beat and went rogue, ignoring his responsibilities in his beat.

Patrolling the highways is fine. Ticketing a driver for driving 2 mph below the posted speed limit is asinine.

Maybe. Hard for me to judge because I wasn't there to witness the traffic flow.

But that has nothing to do with the part of your message I quoted.
I had a stepfather who had this same exact thing happen when I was growing up. In matter of fact he was going the speed limit. As a child I didn't understand it, but I understand it now. There are people who refuse to budge from that lane and are oblivious to people having to change lanes to go around them. I feel there is an unwritten rule that freeway speed limits are set where traffic can go at least 5mph faster and in some cases up to 10mph faster. It is far more dangerous for cars to be having to come up, change lanes, and then go back in that lane. With that being said, it would have been nice to give a warning instead of a ticket.

Germany is very strict about enforcing this and that the far left lane is for passing.

Read the text below very slowly and out loud. Perhaps one of the attendants at "the home" could read it aloud.

"The woman was cited for failure to move right, she tells NBC 4. Her ticket said that she didn't "keep right" after going 63 mph in a 65 mph zone."

Was she a Qtip? (so short you can only see the top of her white hair above the steering wheel.)
treegirl- As I stated, the ticketing is asinine. The text, as read to me here in the senior center by my nurse, said that the ticket probably will not hold up in court, which to me means it was wrongfully given and totally unfounded. (Just kidding about the senior center and nurse.) You know, given enough time here on Earth you may one day find yourself at the "senile" age. Think about that. Meanwhile, enjoy your all-knowing youth.
