Why yes,i think so. They floated and played dead perfectly if memory serves. It was,in a nut shell,a disappointment but i dont recall it being a big one. I'm sure i recovered quickly and went back outside to play til my mother hollered for me to come in.

Wow this brings back memories of my childhood too. I was fascinated by those magazine ads for all those "cool" products. My parents gave me permission to order the smoking dog. A little dog would puff on a little cigarette and it actually worked. I also bought the sea monkeys and that was neat too. I also ordered magic tricks stuff but I can't remember exactly what I bought, it was too long ago.
I have older brothers & sisters who had a great collection of comics and "teen" magazines. My mom didn't throw them away and I used to love the ads for these products.
Anyone remember "Draw Winky"?

Oh yeah, winky was the turtle right? Weren't there like two other pics to draw and submit? I never did it because i was super crapola and drawerer (spelur tew).

What comics did you guys read? I didn't do batman or any of the other action comics, honestly,i don't recall seeing any. Richie rich was my favorite ,and no i'm not gay, beetle bailey, casper, archie (remember veronica VA-VA-VOOM heeheeeheee). It was always a big treat when mom brought home the newest richie rich rag, i'd either come running in from outside or turn off after school special(remember school house rock? Lolly lolly, get your adverbs here... ), I always thought richies high tech toys were way cool and he had his always faithful cadbury the butler by his side.
Really can't recall what all other comics i read.

Winky was a cute little deer.

I loved Richie Rich too. He could have been a super hero when he grew up, but he never grew up...lol
Also loved Archie, Little Lulu, Beetle Bailey, etc...all the goodies.
There was a time when it was cool, . . . umm, . . .err, DonDiego means "dope", . . . when it was dope to be called a Space Cadet.

_________Tom Corbett, Space Cadet_________
Nah.....Space Cadet was sooo queer, Now Lost in Space, that was a hip show.
I ordered the X-ray specs. My parents pointed out, AFTER I got them it says right on the ad "Optical illusion"
Had a GF who "drew Winky" (no, not that Diego) A rep actually came to their house and sold them several hundred dollars worth of mail correspondence art lessons.
