The website STILL does not work :
Here are some real day to day issues from the Healthcare.Gov website blog :
pKid • a month ago
I find that this insurance is getting to be more trouble than it's worth. I had to sign up for coverage 3 times since it first launched in October, 2013. I sent in my income documentation more than two and a half months ago, (March, 2014) and I'm still getting mailed information asking for the same thing again. Also, the website still is not working properly so I can't upload the documents. They can't tell you if your information has been received because they claim they don't have a phone number for the Kentucky mailing address which is where you are directed to mail in your information. This is so frustrating, and I'm so sick and tired of it I wanna scream. They need to get their act together.

I recently received this via email:
We recently mailed you an important notice about your health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. The Marketplace needs you to send documents within 30 days of that notice date from one or more people in your household as proof of their income. Without these documents, these individuals might not be able to keep their Marketplace health coverage.
Unless you have heard from the Marketplace that your inconsistency has been resolved, please send the requested documents.
I haven't received anything that says I'm supposed to send something in or that there is an inconsistency...I called and the CS Rep has no idea what I'm supposed to send...this is getting extremely frustrating and I don't want to lose my coverage!!!

I recently got an e-mail indicating that I need to send in some documents. So I tried logging into my account but for some reason it won't let me. I clicked on forgot my password and I answered the security questions and it won't even let me change my pw. It tells me that either I have not entered a new password (which I have), or I answered one of the security question wrong. Also I'm not in the U.S at the moment and they want me to send a copy of my documents in the mail. or upload a file. Which I can't seem to do. Any advice? I am heading back to the U.S on 7/17/14 so I don't know when that 30 day is.

Is your new password different than your previous six passwords? Does it contain at least 8 characters, a number, and an uppercase letter?

Just as long as you try to get it done, I assure you they will, in turn, do what they can to make sure you keep your insurance.

No they won't. How can You assure anyone they will do what they can to make sure you keep your insurance. I have mailed in the requested documentation twice, the last time certified mail with return receipt. Today I got an email requesting the same documentation they received 3 weeks ago. They won't even tell you if you will receive advance notice when they cancel your coverage.

If you mailed it in, it can take about 4 weeks to be processed. As for the emails, they may have sent it out prematurely. Check your account and select your application. This should take you to a new page that has a list of options on the left. Select, 3rd down, Application Details. Do you see the word verify still? If so, click it and check to make sure you've submitted the correct documentation. If you did you should see either submitted or nothing at all.

My application (which was completed 6 months ago) has still not been linked to my account page on your end. I have been asked to submit additional documentation, which I have mailed in twice, and can't upload because of an issue on your end. This is beyond frustrating!

They should have instructions for uploading these documents in an obvious place. It took forever to find the link to do this!

I received a letter asking for verification of income and identity. I mailed that information 2 days later (W2, 1099, 1040, Birth certificates and copies of Social Security Cards). Now I have gotten another letter asking for the same information and telling me I will be canceled in 30 days. I tried to call to find out how to confirm when they receive my info and was just told to resubmit it. In the meantime, the 30 days is almost up. What if they lose the 2nd set of mailings? How do I know if I mailed what they need or if they just did not receive it or if they just have not processed it yet. I am very frustrated.

I got a letter requesting more information. My agent and I called the site to learn what documents were needed. Three days later, I sent the information. It's been over two weeks and I've heard nothing. The 30 day period is getting closer. It took me over four months to get an application accepted, so I missed the first deadline for immediate coverage. That was bad enough. Now should I expect to hear that after four months of finally having coverage, I no longer have it? I am ONE person for heaven's sake. How difficult is it to get some permanent coverage? My income has not changed. I have one part time job. What more am I supposed to do?

I have tried several times the last few days to upload the needed document. I get a red box stating "we weren't able to upload your document at this time. Please try again later." I am going to the post office tomorrow and sent them certified mail. I already sent them in March but apparently they are slow opening mail!

I had the same problem, Where is my message center??? I could not find the message that the email said that I had. All I could find was my eligibility notice. I called the help center. Then I tried to change my profile to get my notices by mail. It said I was successful, but when I next logged in, I saw that the change had not been kept. Why do we need to keep calling the help center. Why can't we have a message center that we can actually use...you know, receive messages and write messages. You can't reply to the message they send by email.

ugh I had this same issue months ago when I first sign in I can't access to see the application let alone get to the part where you can upload. I sent my income via certified mail I even called to verify it was only my income that was required now I get another mail stating I need to send more info along with my daughter income who isn't on Obama care and then to prove or citizenship and I already sent the first one certified so now i got to do it again and pay for it once again because I can't get thru this stupid site that never works you can log in and that is about as far you can go. Well actually can access my sign info and if I need to change any of it but that's all. I have try different browsers as well Nothing works ;( Why don't they let us fax it or email it since this website sure isn't working for many of us. I been paying for my insurance since May 1st and also my deductible and now if you dont' to do this could lose the tax break which I could not afford anymore than I am paying. And it sucks that my husband is on medicare and get added onto my plan he recently had a heart attack and now we got a $1,200 bill when he had medicaid along with the medicare our deductibles were never this high and never had to pay 20 percent of his doctor bills. We always had to pay the $104.90 and still do. Seems we have less money now due to all this insurance stuff.

Received letter from HHS dated 6/10/2014. Stated I need to respond within 30 days to keep your help paying for health coverage. It stated you may have previously submitted this info before, but now we need additional or different documents in order to fully process the information. The info the letter requests is proof of yearly income for 2014.
The letter said I could upload the documents to My Account on HealthCare.gov. “This is the fastest way to get my documents processed”.
On 6/17/14 I uploaded the documents. It was a 213kb PDF file. Its file name with a green check mark showed on the web page that the upload was successful. When I log out and log back in there is no evidence that I had upload/submitted anything. No file name listed.
Called HHS on 6/18/2014 was on the phone for 45 mins. I even talked to a supervisor. Was told how sorry they were, suggested I mail documents, we are having website problems. They said the website showed “Submitted” but they could not determine when or what I was submitted.
Has anyone successfully upload documents. Shouldn't “MY Account” maintain a list or show evidence that documents had been uploaded?

that I need to submit my docs. I don't know what to do next.

Call the help center to verify. I uploaded my documents several months ago and still recently received a letter saying if I didn't submit them within 30 days, coverage would be cancelled. I uploaded them again plus I mailed them. Then I got an email saying I had a new message in my account message center. I logged in, but could not find the message. I called the center. The person I spoke to told me that the system automatically generated this letter to anyone who had an inconsistency whether or not they had submitted their documents. She said I would receive a letter saying that the inconsistency was resolved. I would think the website should reflect that information, but it does not.

I don't understand why the address as to WHERE you send documents does not appear anywhere on the site. This is making me crazy. I have the documents to mail, but there is no address on the request form, and none on the website that I can find.

Actually I got a confirmation USPS mail from Marketplace about two weeks after I sent requested information. I have seen some emails requesting information but they say if you already submitted discard the request. May be a lot of people have not send information and they are just re-mailing to all subscribers without removing ones received. anyways I am confused about myself turning 65 in march 2015 as to what I should be doing about medicare and how to continue my younger wifes healthcare

I have sent in all my information about 2-3 weeks BEFORE the due date and I find it 100% ridiculous that no one has called me yet and the "status" on my page has said "State agent to contact you" for WEEKS!!!!! I also get NO notifications via text/mail/email/anything even though I gave permission for texts/emails/phone calls. It's irritating that I am 5 months pregnant trying to get TEMPORARY COVERAGE as my SECONDARY insurance. That should not be a case that would require much stufy. I just need the temporary help and just to help pick up what my primary insurance isn't covering. This state makes it hard to get benefits of any sort. & they make it even harder for the people who actually NEED the assistance who are actually out there WORKING! Sorry, I'm obviously pissed. Rant over.

It would be in your best interest to not wait for your state to contact you and instead contact them and explain that you completed an application with the Marketplace and we sent your application to them. Give them your application ID number just in case.

You know I am in the same boat as many of the complainers but after reading your positive responses to the many complainers, I calmed down and thought about the good this is doing and how you are backing them 100%.I decided to use my comment to encourage you and not bash the program. I encourage you to keep smelling like a rose in a sea of so many disgruntle natives. I do agree the AFC is a great program but the way it is being executed is horrible, but it is worth the hassle and the frustration. You keep up the great support and I'm pretty sure it will work out for our good in a little while. I will keep sending in the documents and try to upload them, because the privilege to go to the Doctor and pay the bill far out weighs any complaints or hassles that I endure. For truly it is a privilege to have AFC.

The system appears to be down - I can't modify an existing healthcare.gov policy on the site to reflect the fact that my son (now working) is no longer a dependent. I need to make the adjustment, have the premium reduced, in a way that doesn't boot me out of the system. I have coverage and need it to continue for the rest of the family, one of whom is an oncology patient. I had a similar site problem way back when...where applications could be removed and resubmitted (without SS#s) and could get through. But now I have a lot at risk if I delete an existing approved & functioning application and healthcare plan w/ my insurer. I have a call into the ARC desk, but they likely won't call for another 2 months, if last December is any guide. Staff on the phone are sympathetic but can't get the sysem to allow me or them to modify my application. Should be simple to drop a dependent but it isn't. Guidance appreciated.

I had the same problem, what I did I created a new account and submitted a new application with new data. As soon as the insurance company confirmed that they have my new application, I logged back in to the old one and terminated it. That way I didn't get break in coverage. I even spoke with HHS representative, he said that the website was not ready to process any life changes. My mother in law reported her income change over the phone but had horrible problems with the new policy... ended up with a gap coverage, double billing etc. You can try it over the phone if you want. I would create a new account.. the only downfall is that with new policy you will start a new deductible...

Hi & Thanks. My problem is I can't create new ID in a timely way. It took me 2 months to get ID-verified first time because I don't have any debt and am therefore invisible to Experian...who is used >>for ID<< verification. Strange but true. I would cancel existing app if I were certain that I could create a new one. I'd create new ID/pw id I knew someone were actually waiting to review uploaded ID documents. Mailing...again...to Kentucky all my ID docs just too much of a crapshoot just to create a new ID...to create an app for coverage that I have and can't lose. So I sit waiting for ARC desk, which is time not well spent. Ughhh.

Actually , let's not focus on the website per se : it is really a symptom of a much larger issue , gross incompetence. Bob
