drmilled, you have a wonderful grasp of the obvious.

As a matter of fact, I bet it happened several times in 1996, back when the folks arguing for mandated health insurance were Republicans. But that was Obama's fault too, right?

Oh, did he slap his name on an ice cream cone also? Musta missed that one.

Insurance companies are scumbags. That was true before and after Obamacare. The new law forces them to be lesser scumbags. Clearly more can be done as this incident demonstrates.

I'm much more alarmed by the 1.2 million dollars in medical bills for a 40 day stay in a hospital (which included 2 surgeries). Lets presume the surgeries were 100K each...which would be outrageous. Then, what? 1 million dollars divided by 40 nights = 25k/night in the hospital? Crazy.

That is pretty pricey, took me a yr(well, eleven months one week) to exceed the 16mil mark and I' had some expensive surgery's. And a lot of 'em, how many? no idea.

Once again the amateurs miss the point. Anthem and the other giants know all eyes are on everything about this mosstrous mess of a healthcare law. Anthem apparently made the choice to look like cruel idiots in order to save a buck, and it's all because Obamacare is going to screw their bottom lines since there's not as many dumbass white young people in this country as the big O, Harry Reid, and Pelosi think there is. Oh wait, Nancy Pelosi has no idea how to think, and Harry Reid might not have gotten out of his coffin yet.

Ah yes...Anthem is the victim here. What was their excuse for being cruel idiots prior to Obamacare?
Obeymecare has just given the insurance companies a license to steal -and that is just what they are doing.

Please prove that they were as cruel as this, and I mean to a mother and a newborn to the tune of over a million dollars, prior to the new law. Then read up on the issue. Anthem blames Xerox for being 1-yr.off on the lady's year of birth. Xerox blames Anthem for printing her insurance card wrong. None of this would have happened if the federal law didn't require a 3rd party to run the state exchange, which, oh my, is dictated by the law Nanci Pelosi said no one has read.

Let's also hope this lady doesn't move out of state anytime during the year. Obamacare policies automatically cancel once someone makes the capitalistic move of trying to improve on one's life across state lines.

I agree you are forced to buy their product now no matter how bad it is. So what is the incentive for them to make it better?
