For poor old DonDiego watching the Olympics is always a mite bitersweet. In 1968 he finished 5th in the 100-meter hurdles qualifying heat, . . . just failing to go to Mexico City by a hair.

If only poor, not quite so old DonDiego had jumped a little higher, he might have made it to Mexico City and been able to engage in the fun times.

Olympic gold medalist and U.S. women’s soccer team goalie Hope Solo has confirmed that “there’s a lot of sex going on” at the Olympics.

“With a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you want to build memories, whether it’s sexual, partying or on the field,” Solo told ESPN. “I’ve seen people having sex right out in the open. On the grass, between buildings, people are getting down and dirty.”

Swimmer Ryan Lochte backed up Solo and estimated “70 percent to 75 percent of Olympians” hook up.

Solo said she partied with comedian Vince Vaughn, appeared drunk on TODAY and “may have snuck a celebrity back to my room without anybody knowing, and snuck him back out,” all as a part of her routine at the Olympics.

Solo explained that sex happens because of how easy it is to meet people.

“Unlike at a bar, it’s not awkward to strike up a conversation because you have something in common,” Solo said. “It starts with, ‘What sport do you play?’ All of a sudden, you’re fist-bumping.”

One thing leads to another and it’s off to the races. As TheDC reported July 9, sex at the Olympics has become tradition — just like the lighting of the Olympic torch.

I see a bowler. No Olympic quest for Gold.
To back up Snidely, I have heard that the #1 selling item at this year's Summer Olympics is..........................................CONDOMS !

Hmm, . . . they may not be selling as fast as marcisdave supposes, . . . although there is likely lots of sex goin' on.

". . . the Olympic planners have apparently taken note that there is A LOT of sex going on because they are giving out a record 150,000 condoms to athletes, according to the Daily Mail. [That'd be about 10-per-athlete, . . . or 20-per-couple, . . . or 30-per-threesome, . . . etc. - DD]
At the last Olympics, there were 70,000 free condoms available, and well, that was not enough."

I see we have a new Olympic sport. Puts a whole new meaning to "heat".
I'm looking forward to the best all around.
The awards ceremonies should be interesting.

Women's indoor volleyball is good as well as swimming/diving and gymnastics

Ah, my fellow perverts. The best Olympic sports for watching women are IMHO:

Swimming/diving
Volleyball - beach/indoor
Gymnastics
Track and Field
Synchronized swimming

The best rear end views tend to be with the volleyball and gymnastics.

Gymnastics? Some of those girls are 16 years old. Very few are over 18. That's messed up.
