Damn. I don't understand it, but you people just love the political jousting. OK. Here's the deal. While our plans were to be completely into a whole new LVA world by now, various forces have conspired to make our road rocky, make that bouldery, and we honestly don't have the time to worry about who's saying what and against which policy at the moment. So ... whack away at your Obamas and Zimmermans and Weiners and God knows what else for a while. As we solve our own (website) problems -- and we will -- just plain have at it. Keep it civil and we won't bomb these topics (as I'm so wanting to do at this moment). Further to that, we'll take a real good look at this and see if there's a place for political discussions in the new order -- which will come about -- if that's really what you all want. Fair enough?

I think a politics page on the free side is a good idea. It takes the clutter off the Vegas page and gives those inclined a place to discuss/argue/vent without wondering if the thread will get deleted.

Looking at the low activity of the other Vegas pages(golf, pools, shows) maybe you could close down those pages and group all Vegas topics on one forum. Then create a second forum for non-Vegas including politics.

You have certain people (the usual suspects) who have a political agenda. They won't like it if they are allowed to have carte blanche in political heated tirades, but it is relegated to a political board. They want to pollute your Las Vegas themed threads because they get more attention.

I would certainly welcome a political board, but don't think they will leave the free for all. They will feel that they didn't get enough out of their trolling on a political board.

Here is the truth a lot of us are friends even those of us with opposing views. We often run into each other on other Las Vegas boards, but we all met each other here. Sometimes when friends get together they like to “shoot the shit” about what is going on in the world. There is no hidden agenda about getting attention or polluting boards.
