Malibber has it right about wanting "to shoot the sh!t" with about what's going on in the world. I think a seperate bd. is a really good idea. I think there's a only a few people on this sight that really can and sometimes do take a thread from a fairly civilized thread down into the muck and completely ruin it. I know I'm guilty of getting into the fray as well, but have really tried to keep it civil. I believe it's the holier than thou, arrogant, I'm right you're an idiot posts that really set things rolling downhill.

So great idea on a separate thread.

I agree. Quarantine it like we do tuberculosis for public safety.

I make the motion that we have a picture thread in that Political section.

Blade I won't lie, with my twisted sense of humor it made me laugh out loud. I think you may want to invest in one of these with all of the heat you are most likely going to catch.

Can I make a bold prediction? Many of the people who say they hate the political threads will continue to read and post on them in the quarantined section.

Think of all the server space you'll save if you delete the political thread if it stays inactive for 6 hours . . . . . . . or after a dozen posts. I joined to see gambling info, where to eat, where to stay, et cetera.

The people who complain about political threads participate but they complain about posts that don't align with their beliefs.
