Support the Cosmopolitan as much as you can

None of DB's workers are angrily picketing outside their respective workplace in DB's home country of Germany. The government there demands companies recognize the value of their employees and not just shareholders.

And despite this oppressive weight placed upon the shoulders of Deutshce Banks hapless executives they still managed to pay a dividend check of $650 million to their shareholders last year. I cant even conceive how thats possible but they managed somehow.
Hmmm...let me see if I have this right ?
The Cosmo opens and provides jobs to a 1000 (?) people who don't have jobs in Las Vegas.
Everyone loves Cosmo.
Now the "poor & impoverished" union workers can afford to take a day off (without pay ?) to protest.
Those who hate corporate "greed" will not patronize the Cosmo and thus force them to have to lay off workers.
Tell me again, who is causing the #1 problem of "unemployment" in America ?????

Doesn't appear to be the Cosmo ?? Hmmm... wonder if it's the "greedy" unions (and their supporters) ???

Chilcoot < post pics of the the downtrodden union leaders here>. (Doubt that'll happen !)

This casino has been open for 3 years & has yet to turn a quarterly profit

The place has always been dead during the daytime and gets fairly busy at night.

Our liberals here don't seem to have much of a business acumen. They seem to be of the mindset that because a big bank owns it, that the entity does not need to be self supporting and that the bank can just go ahead and funnel more money into it and accept losses year in and year out.

Must be those damn unions at fault. Oops, Cosmo is a non-union shop.....
"And despite this oppressive weight placed upon the shoulders of Deutshce Banks hapless executives they still managed to pay a dividend check of $650 million to their shareholders last year"

Wow the owners of the company received a return on their investment!

They have over 900m shares so, the dividend is less than $1.00 per share - another wow!

More wow. Their net income is less than 2%; not much margin for error
In September 2008, President George W. Bush signed legislation giving $11.8 billion of taxpayer dollars to Deutsche Bank as part of the AIG bailout. Not a loan, a gift. $11.8 billion dollars to Deutsche Bank, from American taxpayers.

Oh, poor poor Deutsche Bank! Having to hear the cries of the dirty Americans on the street pleading for decent wages and health care!

How much do you think worker benefit packages cut into their profits? And if you think thats the root of all evil why is your contempt for worker benefits aimed specifically at the people who want to unionize? Shouldn't the executives have all their cushy benefits cut too?

Didn't say that, but why would they want to increase their cost of doing business when they are still losing money?
