Suspended Duck Dynasty Dude Unsuspended.

Now say that header title real fast 10 times in a row !

Anyways, seems A&E has lifted the suspension of the duck dynasty dude after a whopping 9 days on suspension.

During that time, A&E has ran a DD marathon (no, not Don Diego marathon) which included the suspended DDD (duck dynasty dude).

So....why bother suspending him ? If it's going to last for only 9 days, and you show reruns with him in it during that time frame......why even suspend him ? What time of so called punishment is that ?

I don't get it.

I also don't get why the show is so popular. I have watched 2 episodes in their entirety.....the Clint Bowyer episode and the hot tub episode........and I just don't get why it is so big.

Hoping to see some spirited discussion on this topic......

I thought I saw an article that said AE reversed their decision because of the support of people. Personally I hope the familys told AE to go F themselves, its the only show they have. I know the family said they were going to support him.

Its about time someone stood up against the screaming minority(if thats what really happened).IMHO of course.

The suspension got them millions of dollars in publicity for free. Without the suspension, this story wouldn't have been a story at all. Ratings will surely go up in the coming months now as many who never watched will tune in to see what DDD is all about.

Daddy is just ignorant. But I get a kick out of the four preppy sons play dress-up to entertain the rubes. And I'm sure it pays well.

A few weeks ago Martin Bashir on MSNBC said someone should shit in Sarah Palin's mouth. He used the more polite version of the verb. The comment was no less ignorant. MSNBC tossed him. Good for them. Progressives didnt make a big stink about "freedom of speech" or "the right to have an opinion". Good for them too. Its nice to know some people can still draw lines and hold people accountable when it comes to hateful rhetoric.

It will be interesting to see how the Duck Dynasty issue plays out. Its one thing to believe marriage should be defined as a man/woman. Its something else when you compare homosexuality to beastiality....or suggest black people were happy during the Jim Crowe era (like grandpa free-speech did). Its not a crime to be a bigot and its not unusual for a bigot to use religion to rationalize his views. And its not illegal for a cable station to give a bigot his very own show.

I say have at it and let the viewers sort it out. I suspect there will be a lot of shouting in the upcoming weeks from the gay community and the evangelicals. A&E will be caught in the middle and ultimately have to make a choice between ratings and reputation. I have no prediction what they will choose. For now its ratings. Good luck with that

Are these pics some of the Duck Dynasty dudes ? Where the hell are the long, scraggly beards ?

I just don't get it. Or the show itself. Yes....I realize they manufacture some type of duck call for a living. (many, many moons ago, I used to be a goose hunter.....so I do have some knowledge of waterfowl calls) But I just don't get how a regional manufacturer of duck calls can get so rich, so wealthy, and so famous to warrant a reality show.....a supposedly famous and money making reality show.

Did the family think it would help get them a reality show if they would grow/buy some ZZTop type beards ?

Did they get their hot trophy wives after the popularity of the A&E show hit ? Did they have these hotties before they got famous ? Did A&E supply the hot trophy wives as part of the show's storyline ?

For the record DonDiego finds a vagina more desirable than a man's anus, . . . but, hey, he's not gonna tell everyone else what they should do. Nonetheless if someone were to find DonDiego's anus desirable, he'd likely deny them any contact whatsoever.

Not really a bad philosophy, that, . . . not judging folks. DonDiego is less sure 'bout that Jesus-stuff and God-stuff. Oh, and DonDiego is guilty of judging terrorists; he judges them negatively.

DonDiego concurs. It is difficult for DonDiego to see how any of this heh' controversy is gonna have any effect whatsoever on poor old DonDiego.

I also like how the impartial news media declared Phil's statements as "anti-gay". I guess the Bible is also anti-gay. Go figure.
