Target and Obamacare

What do they have in common?

You don't want to give either one your personal information!

They both "target" minorities?
Obviously Target is an utter failure and should be shut down immediately. Because snap judgments.

Actually a guy named Dayton borrowed athosand bucks and started Dayton dept. stores back in early 1900. Later on he merged with Hudson to form the Dayton Hudson stores. Target came from this and was a success out of the gate.

Pure coincidence I happen to kmow this right now, I watched an hour profile of target on CNBC late night and I got my Dad one of those throwback books titled "Green stamps and hot pants". I was thumbing through it today, reading here and there and happened on the start of the Dayton Hudson corp.

And Target doesn't have Death Panels either, so there's that. But I wasn't referring to either of those things.

I was talking about the disastrous technological failure. Of Target. Forever!

Zing off into another direction...you weren't talking about a forever failure. Target stopped and repaired a malicious attack on a fully functional operating system as soon as it was detected.

Obamacare has been a disaster from day one, never fully functioning, an ongoing technological failure. By design. It is and was meant to fail from before implementation. Plan B, a total government takeover of healthcare has always really been plan A. The takeover of health Insurance is only a temporary distraction. It is the camel's nose under the tent. Let it in then say we need more government because this much more government wasn't enough more government.
They said just go to the webpage, give all your information over, buy what you want, they'll take care of the rest.

It didn't work. The volume of orders simply overwhelmed the website.

Which is why Amazon failed to deliver so many orders by Christmas as promised. The biggest bottleneck seems to have been UPS, which just didn’t provide enough capacity, but it wasn’t the only one. Can’t the private sector do anything right?

Plainly we need to abandon the idea that private industry can meet America's needs.
Are you really still defending it based upon a volume thing? It wasn't a volume thing it was incompetence. A little supervision would have went a hell of a long way, but instead it was a hands off project.

Now it isn't a volume thing at all because you can see a huge amount of Medicaid sign-ups, but not many private insurance sign-ups, and that is because the product is bad. People don't want to pay several hundred or even a thousand a dollars a month or more and then be told oh by the way the first $5-6,250 is out of pocket if your on a single plan or the first 10k-$12,500 is out of pocket if you're on a family plan.
