Thank Goodness, the French are with the US, . . .

. . . off the coast of Syria.

Anyone recall the French having any suggestions a decade or so ago when we were thinking about going to war with Iraq? Anyone have any recollections at all on how wise they thought our plans are? Would be good to know whether their advice was good then or not.

Speaking of which, how'd that Iraq thing work out for us anyhow?
Guess I'll order a side of fries with my happy meal.... all is good.

As do 4000 Americans.
For Sale, one French Rifle, never fired, dropped once !
Does this mean we can stop calling fried potatos "freedom fries" ?

4,486 dead Americans as of a year ago.

Another 22,516 wounded Americans as of two years ago.

Oh, and another 120 thousand or so dead Iraqi civilians, something I'll note for people who care about such lives.

In his wildest dreams, Saddam Hussein couldn't have figured out a way to kill and wound more than 27 thousand Americans. You could say we did his dirty work for him.

But yes, Saddam Hussein is dead, we did help kill that one 69 year old man, that's true. Yay!

So glad we didn't listen to the French!
As it turns out, I was right about the Iraq War, the Patriot Act, and deregulating Wall Street. I'm probably right about bombing Syria - I'm opposed - and based on my track record, maybe everyone should just take my word for it.
DonDiego apologizes; he forgot sarcasm often fails on the internets.

DonDiego's "Thank Goodness" remark was intended as a gest, . . . a mild mocking of the French allies, . . . who have provided a single vessel to the fleet as shown on the map above.

DonDiego, likewise, opposes military action against Syria, . . . at least until the objective is sufficiently justified and the contemplated actions are defined. He especially would oppose action aiding the rebel forces which include among their cohorts Al Qaeda affiliates.
